Answer:

3.8 in

Explanation:

A wheel and axle machine is a machine in which the wheel rotates around the rod (axle). They rotate together thereby transferring force among each other.

The formula for a wheel and axle is:

Fr * Rr = Fe * Re

Where Fr is the resistance force, Rr is the radius of the resistance force, Fe is the effort force and Re is the radius of the resistance force.

Given that: Fr = 235 lb, Fe = 45 lb, Re = 20 in / 2 = 10 in. Hence:

235 * Rr = 45 * 10

Rr = 45 * 10 / 235

Rr= 1.9 in

Diameter of axle = 2 * 1.9 = 3.8 in

Svetlanka [38]

Answer:

Electrical Conductivity is 3200 (\Omega m)^{-1}

Solution:

As per the question:

N_{A} = 10^{24}\ m^{- 3}\ Ga\ atoms

Mobility of electrons, \mu_{e} = 0.26\ m^{2}/ Vs

Mobility of holes, \mu_{h} = 0.020\ m^{2}/ Vs

Charge, Q = 1.6\times 10^{- 19}\ C

Now,

The formula for the conductivity is given by:

\sigma = N_{A}Q\mu_{h}

\sigma = 10^{24}\times 1.6\times 10^{- 19}\times 0.020} = 3200(\Omega m)^{-1}

Alex_Xolod [135]

Answer:

The gas pressure is: 1.55 atm.

Explanation:

We need to use the equation that relate the variables given at the exercise (pressure, temperature and volume) from the ideal gas law formula, when the mass is constant we can reduce the expretion PV=nRT to \frac{P_{1}V_{1}}{T_{1}}=\frac{P_{2}V_{2}}{T_{2} } solving to P2 we get:\frac{P_{1}V_{1}T_{2}}{T_{1}V_{2}}=P_{2} replace the values P_{2}=\frac{2.5*3*610}{9.5*310} =1.55(atm).
