Answer:

4.99 ×10²³ molecules

Mass = 28.22 g

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of H₂O₂ produced = ?

Mass of water react = 14.86 g

Number of molecules of H₂O₂ produced = ?

Solution:

Chemical equation:

2H₂O + O₂        →     2H₂O₂

Number of moles of water:

Number of moles = mass/molar mass

Number of moles = 14.86 g/ 18 g/mol

Number of moles = 0.83 mol

Now we will compare the moles of water and H₂O₂.

                   H₂O          :               H₂O₂

                    2              :                2

                  0.83           :             0.83

Mass of H₂O₂:

Mass = number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.83 mol × 34 g/mol

Mass = 28.22 g

Number of molecules:

1 mole = 6.022×10²³ molecules

0.83 mol × 6.022×10²³ molecules / 1 mol

4.99 ×10²³ molecules

To determine the absolute age of rocks and fossils, geologists use _____.
Pavlova-9 [17]

Answer:

The rates of decay of radioactive elements

Explanation:

The age of a rock in years is called its absolute age. Geologists find absolute ages by measuring the amount of certain radioactive elements in the rock. When rocks are formed, small amounts of radioactive elements usually get included.

What salt is formed by the reaction of potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid?
Nina [5.8K]

Potassium hydroxide (KOH) is formed when Potassium forms ionic bonds with OH-ions while Potassium Oxide (K2O) is formed when potassium forms ionic bonds with the Oxide (O2-) ions. i.e. This reaction is a neutralization reaction and occurs when an acid (HCl) reacts with a base (KOH).

What is the mass, in grams, 6.5 mol of sodium nitrate (nano3)? please show all work?
ladessa [460]
Mass is the property of a physical body and the resistance to acceleration when a net force is applied on the body.
The atomic mass of sodium (Na) is = 22.98
The atomic mass of nitrate (N) is = 14.00
The atomic mass of oxygen (O) is = 15.99
The sodium nitrate (NaNO3) consists of the atomic masses of Na+N+(O)3 = 85 grams
Therefore, the mass of 6.5 mol of sodium nitrate is = 6.5 * 1 mol of NaNO3
 = 6.5 * (85)
 = 552.50 grams
