A coil of 10 turns is in the shape of an ellipse having a major axis of 13.0 cm and a minor axis of 6.00 cm. The coil rotates at

73rpm in a region in which the Earth's magnetic field is 55.0 microT. What is the maximum voltage induced in the coil if the axis of rotation of the coil is along its major axis and this axis of rotation is aligned perpendicular to the Earth's magnetic field

Answer:

the maximum voltage induced in the coil is 2.574 × 10⁻⁵ V

Explanation:

Given the data in the question;

Number of turns N = 10

major axis Ma = 13 cm = 0.13 m

a = 0.13/2 = 0.065 m

Minor axis Mi = 6 cm = 0.06 m

b = 0.06/2 = 0.03 m

we know that; 1 RPM = 0.10472 rad/s

rate of rotation R = 73rpm = 7.64 rad/s

Magnetic field = 55 uT

we know that, Area of ellipse = π × a × b

we substitute

A = π × 0.065 m × 0.03 m

A = 0.006126 m²

so

Maximum Voltage = N × Area × Magnetic field × rate of reaction

we substitute

Maximum Voltage = 10 × 0.006126 × ( 55 × 10⁻⁶ ) × 7.64

Maximum Voltage = 2.574 × 10⁻⁵ V

Therefore, the maximum voltage induced in the coil is 2.574 × 10⁻⁵ V

Which of the following statements best describes chromatic aberration?
Rzqust [24]

Answer:

The answer is A/B, they're the same answer anyways.

Explanation:

Chromatic aberration is the result when the lens fail to focus all the colors on the same point. The light then focuses in different points,and could lead to causing two images at once. The main culprit of this is usually dispersion.

A circuit has an overall resistance of 40 ohms and a current of 200mA.
svetoff [14.1K]

Answer:

Hey!

_________________

Voltage (V) = 0.8V

Current (I) = 200 mA = 200/10^3 = 2/10

Resistance = ?

Resistance = Voltage / Current

Voltage = Current × Resistance

0.8 = 2/10 × Resistance

0.8×10/2 = Resistance

8/2 = Resistance

Resistance = 4 ohm

A 500 kg table with 4 legs rests on solid flat ground. I place 3 books on the center of the table with masses of 10 kg, 20 kg an
BARSIC [14]

Answer:

1,373.4 N

Explanation:

The mass of the table acts at the centre in addition to the books since that is the centre of gravity of the table.

Mass of books will be 10kg+20kg+30kg=60 kg

Total mass of table and books will be 500kg+60kg=560 kg

This mass is evenly distributed into the four legs hence 560kg/4 legs=140 kg per leg

Force is product of mass and acceleration due to gravity hence F=gm

Taking g as 9.81 m/s2 then

F=140*9.81=1,373.4 N

Therefore, rhe normal force is equivalent to 1,373.4 N

(b) A car of mass 3000 kg travels at a constant velocity of 5.0 m/s.
Tamiku [17]

Answer:

16.7 s

Explanation:

T= Vf - Vo          a= F

         a                    m

4,500 / 3000 = 1.5 (a)

30 - 5 / 1.5(a) = 16.7 s
