The percentage of Calcium carbonate in chalk = 100%

Further explanation

Given

1.51 g piece of chalk produces 0.665 g of carbon dioxide

Required

percentage of calcium carbonate

Solution

Reaction

CaCO3 (s) + 2 HCl (aq) → CaCl2 (aq) + H2O (l) + CO2 (g)

mol CO2 :

= 0.665 g : 44 g/mol

= 0.015

From the equation, mol CaCO3 = mol CO2 = 0.015

mass CaCO3 :

= mol x MW

= 0.015 x 100

= 1.5 g

What is wrong with this chemical
equation - N2 + O2 → 2N20,
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer and Explanation:

I think the thing that is wrong with this chemical equation is that there is 0 by the 2 instead of the letter O.

Other than that, everything would be balanced.

Would it be C..?
More NO2 and SO2 would form..help..please and thank you
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

C. More NO2 and SO2 will form

Explanation:

Le Chatelier's Principle : It predicts the behavior of equilibrium due to change in pressure , temperature , volume , concentration etc

It states that When external changes are introduced in the equilibrium then it will shift the equilibrium in a direction to reduce the change.

In given Reaction SO3 is introduced(increased) .

So equilibrium will shift in the direction where SO3 should be consumed(decreased)

Hence the equilibrium will go in backward direction , i.e

NO + SO_{3} \rightarrow NO_{2} + SO_{2}

So more and more Of NO2 and SO2 will form

Describe the overall enthalpy of the chemical reactants compared to the enthalpy of the chemical products in the combustion of p
Veronika [31]

Answer:

A thermochemical equation for the combustion of propane (C3H8)(C3H8) is written as follows:

C3H8(l)+5O2(g)→3CO2(g)+4H2O(g);ΔH∘rxnC3H8(l)+5O2(g)→3CO2(g)+4H2O(g);ΔHrxn∘ = -2202.0 kJ/mol

The value given for ΔH∘rxnΔHrxn∘ means that:

a. the reaction of one mole of propane absorbs 2202 kJ of energy from the surroundings.

b. the reaction is endothermic.

c. the enthalpy of formation of propane is 2202 kJ/mol.

d. the reaction of one mole of propane releases 2202 kJ of energy to the surroundings.

e. None of these.
