Answer:

The energy transfer to light energy is the useful transfer. The rest is 'wasted'. It is eventually transferred to the surroundings, making them warmer. This 'wasted' energy eventually becomes so spread out that it becomes very difficult to do anything useful with it.

how does polar bear movement help scientists understand the impact of climate change on polar bear ?
ziro4ka [17]

Answer:

The movement of polar bears help figure out the impact of global warming in the arctic. Since polar bears travel over the frozen ocean they are able to determine the rate it melts as the bears retreat inland. The worse global warming become the quicker it becomes hotter in the arctic which is bad by the way.

What way would the balls fall? Top<br> Left<br> Right<br> Bottom
stira [4]
Each ball, when released, will fall toward the center of the big ball that everybody is standing on.

Another way to describe it:  Each ball, when released, will fall in the direction parallel to a line from the boy's head to his feet.

-- The ball held by the boy on top will fall toward the bottom of the picture.

-- The ball held by the boy on the right will fall toward the left side of the picture.

-- The ball held by the boy on the bottom will fall toward the top of the picture.

-- The ball held by the boy on the left will fall toward the right side of the picture.

In each case, the direction toward the center of the big ball that they're all standing on is the direction that each person calls "down".

A particle moves according to the law of motion s(t) = t^{3}-8t^{2}+2t, t\ge 0, where t is measured in seconds and s in feet. a.
Aneli [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

Given

displacement is given by

s(t)=t^3-8t^2+2t

so velocity is given by

v(t)=\frac{\mathrm{d} s(t)}{\mathrm{d} t}

v(t)=3t^2-16t+2

(b)velocity after t=3 s

v(3)=3(3)^2-8\cdot 3+2

v(3)=19 m/s

(c)Particle is at rest

when its velocity will become zero

v(t)=0

i.e.  3t^2-16t+2=0

t=\frac{16\pm \sqrt{16^2-4\cdot 3\cdot 2}}{2\cdot 3}

t=\frac{16\pm 15.23}{6}

t=5.20 s
