Amy swims 500 m (0.5 Km) in 6 minutes (0.1 hour). What was her speed in Kilometers per hour? A. 8.3 Km/hr B. 5 Km/hr C. 50 Km/hr
kondor19780726 [428]
Speed = Distance ÷ Time so divide .5 km by .1h. .5 km÷.1h=5 km/h, so the answer is B. 5km/h.

A drop
exis [7]

Answer:

27.5\  m

Explanation:

As we know that volume of cylinder is

v=\pi r^{2} *h

Where v=volume , h= height or thickness and r= radius

Here,

v= 10 m ,\  diameter= 10, \ r=\frac{diameter}{2} \ r=\frac{10}{2}\\ r=5

Putting these values in the previous equation , we get

10\ = \frac{22}{7} *5 *5*h\\ 14\ =\ 110*h\\h=\frac{110}{14} \\h=\frac{55}{2} \\\\h=27.5\  m

Therefore thickness is 27.5 m

Which property of table salt is also a property of other ionic compounds
Jet001 [13]

s alluded to in the other answers, salt refers to any ionic compound that doesn't have “oxides” in it. Table salt is sodium chloride. Going down the periodic table, the first column contains lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium, and francium. This group (alkali metals) of atoms (and their corresponding positive ions) gets larger in the order shown above. Therefore, their ionic bonds with chloride (or any nonmetal) gets smaller. The trend of their corresponding compounds is a decreasing hardness, decreasing melting point, decreasing boiling point, and decreasing thermal stability. These are the major periodic trends of these corresponding compounds. Other metal ions generally have higher positive charges on them. This makes the ionic bonds considerably larger and you can probably surmise most of their corresponding properties listed above. However, the details of their lattice structures may cause the overall trend to vary.

Calculate the wavelength in centimeters of radar energy at a frequency of 10 GHz. What is the frequency in gigahertz of radar en
konstantin123 [22]

Explanation:

(a) Frequency of radar energy, f = 10\ GHz =10^{10}\ Hz

The relation between frequency and wavelength is given by :

c=f\lambda

\lambda=\dfrac{c}{f}

\lambda=\dfrac{3\times 10^8}{10^{10}}

\lambda=0.03\ m

or

\lambda=3\ cm

(b) If wavelength, \lambda=25\ cm=0.25\ m

c=f\lambda

f=\dfrac{c}{\lambda}

f=\dfrac{3\times 10^8}{0.25}

f=1.2\times 10^9\ Hz

or

f = 1.2 GHz

Hence, this is the required solution.
