Answer:

A. fluorine, 1.79 moles

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of carbon  = 87.7g

Mass of fluorine gas  = 136g

Unknown:

The limiting reactant and the maximum amount of moles of carbon tetrafluoride that can be produced  = ?

Solution:

   Equation of the reaction:

             C    +   2F₂ →   CF₄

let us find the number of the moles the given species;

  Number of moles = \frac{mass}{molar mass}

  C;   molar mass = 12;

            Number of moles  = \frac{87.7}{12}   = 7.31moles

 F;  molar mass  = 2(19)  = 38g/mol

             Number of moles  = \frac{136}{38}   = 3.58moles

 So;

   From the give reaction:

          1 mole of C requires 2 moles of F₂

         7.31 moles of C will then require 2 x 7.31 moles of F₂ = 14.62moles

But we have 3.58 moles of the F₂;

  Therefore, the reactant in short supply is F₂ and it is the limiting reactant;

 So;

       2 moles of F₂ will produce  mole of CF₄

       3.58 moles of F₂ will then produce \frac{3.58}{2}  = 1.79moles of CF₄

Select the correct answer. _____enable long-term resistance to infections that have been present in the body before. A. Monocyte
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer:

C. Lymphocytes

Explanation:

All of the following choices are kinds of white blood cells that have a significant role in the body's immune system.

A. Monocytes

Monocytes defend the body against infection by acting as macrophages. They are capable of eating up foreign bodies that may cause infection.

B. Neutrophils

Neutrophils are the most in number in the body's immune system, especially when there is inflammation. They are distributed to different areas where they can move through circulation along blood vessels. They specifically attack antigens.

C. Lymphocytes

Lymphocytes are further divided into two. These are the B cells and the T cells. The B cells are also of two kinds. One of them is the memory B cells, which can remember a foreign body and create antibodies against it to provide for a long-term resistance in case the body gets exposed to the same infectious agent again.

D. Basophils

As part of the immune system, basophils function for preventing blood clots as well as in mediating allergic reactions.

The reaction below shows how silver chloride can be synthesized. AgNO3 NaCl Right arrow. NaNO3 AgCl How many moles of silver chl
Otrada [13]

From 15 mol of Silver nitrate, the moles of silver chloride produced have been 15 mol. Thus, option B is correct.

The balanced chemical reaction for the synthesis of silver chloride has been:

\rm AgNO_3\;+\;NaCl\;\rightarrow\;AgCl\;+\;NaNO_3

From the balanced equation, since there has presence equal moles of silver nitrate and sodium chloride, the moles of silver chloride formed has been equivalent. Thus, 1 mole of silver nitrate gives 1 mole of silver chloride.

The moles of silver nitrate available are,  \rm M_A_g_N_O_3=15\;mol

The moles of silver nitrate produced can be given as:

\rm 1\;mol\;AgNO_3=1\;mol\;AgCl\\15\;mol\;AgNO_3=15\;\times\;1\;mol\;AgCl\\15\;mol\;AgNO_3=15\;mol\;AgCl

Thus, the moles of silver chloride produced have been 15 mol. Thus, option B is correct.
