Answer:

Equation done below

Explanation:

Chlorine has two naturally occurring stable isotopes which are 35Cl (75.77%) and also 37Cl (24.23%).. However, the mass of the 35Cl isotope is 34.96885 amu while that of the 37Cl isotope is 36.96590 amu

Now, to calculate the relative atomic mass, we will do it as;

A_r = (Mass of 35Cl × fraction of 35 Cl) + (Mass of 37 Cl × fraction of 37Cl)

A_r = ((34.96885 × 75.77) + (36.96590 × 24.23))/100

A_r = 35.4527 ≈ 35.453 amu

iris [78.8K]

Answer:

10 kg of ice will require more energy than the released when 1 kg of water is frozen because the heat of phase transition increases as the mass increases.

Explanation:

Hello!

In this case, since the melting phase transition occurs when the solid goes to liquid and the freezing one when the liquid goes to solid, we can infer that melting is a process which requires energy to separate the molecules and freezing is a process that releases energy to gather the molecules.

Moreover, since the required energy to melt 1 g of ice is 334 J and the released energy when 1 g of water is frozen to ice is the same 334 J, if we want to melt 10 kg of ice, a higher amount of energy well be required in comparison to the released energy when 1 kg of water freezes, which is about 334000 J for the melting of those 10 kg of ice and only 334 J for the freezing of that 1 kg of water.

Best regards!

Answer:

B?

Explanation:

In the example, the amount of hydrogen is 202,650 x 0.025 / 293.15 x 8.314472 = 2.078 moles. Use the mass of the hydrogen gas to calculate the gas moles directly; divide the hydrogen weight by its molar mass of 2 g/mole. For example, 250 grams (g) of the hydrogen gas corresponds to 250 g / 2 g/mole = 125 moles.

Write a chemical equation for Ba(OH )2 (aq) showing how it is an acid or a base according to the Arrhenius definition.
Marina86 [1]
Balanced chemical reaction: Ba(OH)₂(aq) → Ba²⁺(aq) + 2OH⁻(aq).
According to the Arrhenius definition barium hydroxide is base.
According this theory acids are substances which produce hydrogen ions in water solution, bases are substances which produce hydroxide ions in solution. Acids and bases when react (neutralisation) produce salt and water.
