Answer: Well we see that v= u- ft/m

lets say that ft= feet and m= mass

so you divide those and subtract u

leaving you with the value of v which is 13

What behavior of light proves that it is a wave? Hint: will this ONLY happen because light is a wave, or could it also be true o
kiruha [24]
It’s red shift and blue shift because This only occurs when the frequency of the wave is made longer or shorter due to the movement of the source relative to the observer

If you make an electromagnet using a battery circuit and a steel nail, how can you increase its magnetic strength?
Lilit [14]
The correct answer is B. wrap more coils of wire around the nail. This is how you can increase its magnetic strength. Thank you for posting your question. I hope this answer helped you. Let me know if you need more help.

A 4.5 g coin sliding to the right at 23.8 cm/s makes an elastic head-on collision with a 13.5 g coin that is initially at rest.
Airida [17]

Answer:

a) v = 11.9\times 10^{-2}\,\frac{m}{s} \,(11.9\,\frac{cm}{s} ), b) \Delta K = 9.559\times 10^{-5}\,J

Explanation:

a) The final velocity of the 13.5 g coin is found by the Principle of Momentum Conservation:

(4.5\times 10^{-3}\,kg)\cdot (23.8\times 10^{-2}\,\frac{m}{s} )+(13.5\times 10^{-3}\,kg})\cdot (0\,\frac{m}{s} ) = (4.5\times 10^{-3}\,kg)\cdot (-11.9\times 10^{-2}\,\frac{m}{s} )+(13.5\times 10^{-3}\,kg})\cdot v

The final velocity is:

v = 11.9\times 10^{-2}\,\frac{m}{s} \,(11.9\,\frac{cm}{s} )

b) The change in the kinetic energy of the 13.5 g coin is:

\Delta K = \frac{1}{2}\cdot (13.5\times 10^{-3}\,kg)\cdot \left[(11.9\times 10^{-2}\,\frac{m}{s} )^{2}-(0\,\frac{m}{s} )^{2}\right]

\Delta K = 9.559\times 10^{-5}\,J

The first Leyden jar was probably discovered by a German clerk named E. Georg von Kleist. Because von Kleist was not a scientist
skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

a) q = 4.47 10⁻⁵ C

b)     ΔV = 4.47 10⁴ V

Explanation:

A Leyden bottle works as a condenser that accumulates electrical charge, so we can use the formula of the energy stored in a capacitor

           U = Q² / 2C

         Q = √ (2UC)

let's reduce the magnitudes to the SI system

   c = 1 nF = 1 10⁻⁹ F

let's calculate

         q = √ (2 1 10⁻⁹-9)

         q = 0.447 10⁻⁴ C

         q = 4.47 10⁻⁵ C

b) for the potential difference we use

             C = Q / ΔV

            ΔV = Q / C

            ΔV = 4.47 10⁻⁵ / 1 10⁻⁹

            ΔV = 4.47 10⁴ V
