Answer:

n = 1.7 moles

Explanation:

Given mass, m = 23.8 grams

Molar mass of Nitrogen = 14 g/mol

Let there is n number of moles. We know that,

No. of moles = given mass/ molar mass

n=\dfrac{23.8}{14}\\\\n=1.7

So, there are 1.7 moles in 23.8 grams of Nitrogen.

Why couldn't you substitute 3m H2SO4 for concentrated HNO3 when oxidizing copper?
schepotkina [342]

This question seems to be an essay question from experiment. Different solution of oxidizing agent will have different strength.  Sulfuric acid or H2SO4 is weaker oxidizing agent when compared to nitric acid (HNO3). In this case, if you subtitute the H2SO4 you wouldn't be able to get the same result for the experiment.

3. 25. The temperatures favorable for the growth of most bacteria are
kvasek [131]

B.

about the same as for humans

Explanation:

This is why most bacteria, during research in labs, are incubated at 37 degrees centigrade, about the same as human body temperature. In addition, harmful and beneficial bacteria thrive in the human body due to the favorable temperatures for growth and reproduction. To try and fight an infection, the body also tries to raise the body temperatures above the optimal for the bacteria  growth (the reason one has a fever in case of infection).
