Answer:

v = 2,99913 10⁸ m / s

Explanation:

The velocity of propagation of a wave is

         v = λ f

in the case of an electromagnetic wave in a vacuum the speed that speed of light

         v = c

When the wave reaches a material medium, it is transmitted through a resonant type process, whereby the molecules of the medium vibrate at the same frequency as the wave, as the speed of the wave decreases the only way that they remain the relationship is that the donut length changes in the material medium

         λ = λ₀ / n

where n is the index of refraction of the material medium.

Therefore the expression is

           v = \frac{\lambda_o}{n} f

Let's look for the frequency of blue light in a vacuum

           f =\frac{c }{\lambda_o}

           f = \frac{3 \ 10^8}{450 \ 10^{-9}}

           f = 6.667 10¹⁴ Hz

the refractive index of air is tabulated

           n = 1,00029

let's calculate

           v = \frac{450 \ 10^{-9} }{1.00029}  \ 6.667 \ 10^{14}450 10-9 / 1,00029 6,667 1014

            v = 2,99913 10⁸ m / s

we can see that the decrease in speed is very small

a major difference radio waves, visible light, and gamma rays is the _________ of the photons, which results in different photon
Aleks04 [339]

There is a spectrum of electromagnetic radiation with variable wavelengths and frequency, which in turn imparts different characteristics. ... X-rays and gamma rays have the same nature as visible light, radiant heat, and radio waves; however, they have shorter wavelengths and consequently a larger photon energy.

How much heat is released when 432 g of water cools down from 71'c to 18'c?
maria [59]
The heat released by the water when it cools down by a temperature difference \Delta T is
Q=mC_s \Delta T
where
m=432 g is the mass of the water
C_s = 4.18 J/g^{\circ}C is the specific heat capacity of water
\Delta T =71^{\circ}C-18^{\circ}C=53^{\circ} is the decrease of temperature of the water

Plugging the numbers into the equation, we find
Q=(432 g)(4.18 J/g^{\circ}C)(53^{\circ}C)=9.57 \cdot 10^4 J
and this is the amount of heat released by the water.
