Answer:

1 mole of Sn is required to react with 40 gram of HF

Explanation:

It is given that molar mass of HF is 20.01 g/mol

Mass of HF is 40 gram

So number of of HF is

Number of moles =\frac{mass\ in\ gram}{molar\ mass}

=\frac{40}{20.01}=1.9999=2moles

When reaction between HF and Sn takes place

Sn+2HF\rightarrow SnF_2+H_2

From the reaction it is clear that 1 mole Sn require 2 moles HF

Therefore 2 moles of HF require 1 mole Sn

How many particles are in 47.7 g of Magnesium? (Round the average
Lynna [10]

Answer:

1.18 × 10²⁴ particles Mg

General Formulas and Concepts:

<u>Chemistry - Atomic Structure</u>

  • Reading a Periodic Table
  • Using Dimensional Analysis
  • Avogadro's Number - 6.022 × 10²³ atoms, molecules, formula units, etc.

Explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

47.7 g Mg

<u>Step 2: Identify Conversions</u>

Avogadro's Number

Molar Mass of Mg - 24.31 g/mol

<u>Step 3: Convert</u>

<u />47.7 \ g \ Mg(\frac{1 \ mol \ Mg}{24.31 \ g \ Mg} )(\frac{6.022 \cdot 10^{23} \ particles \ Mg}{1 \ mol \ Mg} ) = 1.18161 × 10²⁴ particles Mg

<u>Step 4: Check</u>

<em>We are given 3 sig figs. Follow sig fig rules and round.</em>

1.18161 × 10²⁴ particles Mg ≈ 1.18 × 10²⁴ particles Mg
