1. Why is Earth more suitable for life than Venus?

Physics

Earth is more suitable because it has an atmosphere that is suitable for life, Earth has fresh water, and it is the safest distance from the sun. Plants increase the viability of life by producing Oxygen for animals and using carbon dioxide for photosynthesis. Volcanoes are present because of the pressure built up in the core of these planets. The inner planets are small in size compared to the outer planets. The temperature is much hotter and they are solid structures. Beyond Mars, these planets are gases and are much larger. There are many pictures and telescopes that explore the universe and show evidence of planets outside of the solar system.

Answer:

x=2.4365\ m

and

x=-1.4365\ m

Explanation:

Given:

  • first charge, q_1=5\times 10^{-3}\ C
  • second charge, q_2=3\times 10^{-3}\ C
  • position of first charge, x_1=-2\ m
  • position of second charge, x_2=-1\ m

Now since there are only 2 charges and of the same sign so they repel each other. This repulsion will be zero at some point on the line joining the charges.

<u>Now, according to the condition, electric field will be zero where the effects of field due to both the charges is equal.</u>

E_1=E_2

  • since first charge is greater than the second charge so we may get a point to the right of the second charge and the distance between the two charges is 1 meter.

\frac{1}{4\pi.\epsilon_0} \frac{q_1}{(r+1)^2} =\frac{1}{4\pi.\epsilon_0} \frac{q_2}{(r)^2}

\frac{5\times 10^{-3}}{(r+1)^2} = \frac{3\times 10^{-3}}{(r)^2}

3(r^2+1+2r)=5r^2

2r^2-6r-3=0

r=3.4365 \&\ r=-0.4365

Since we have assumed that the we may get a point to the right of second charge so we calculate with respect to the origin.

x=-1+3.4365=2.4365\ m

and

x=-1-0.4365=-1.4365\ m

At a meeting of physics teacher in Montana, the teachers were asked to calculate where a flour sack would land if dropped from a
Harlamova29_29 [7]

At a distance of 469.2 m from the original point below the airplane.

Explanation:

First of all, we have to calculate the time it takes for the sack to reach the ground.

To do so, we just analyze its vertical motion, which is a free-fall motion, so we can use the suvat equation:

s=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^2

where, taking downward as positive direction:

s = 300 m is the vertical displacement

u = 0 is the initial vertical velocity

t is the time

a=g=9.8 m/s^2 is the acceleration of gravity

Solving for t, we find the it takes for the sack to reach the ground:

t=\sqrt{\frac{2s}{a}}=\sqrt{\frac{2(300)}{9.8}}=7.82 s

Now we analyze the horizontal motion. The horizontal velocity of the pack is constant (since there are no forces along the horizontal direction) and equal to the initial speed of the airplane, so:

v_x = 60 m/s

We also know the total time of flight,

t = 7.82 s

Therefore, we can find the horizontal distance travelled by the sack:

d=v_x t = (60)(7.82)=469.2 m

So, the sack will land 469.2 m from the original point below the airplane.

Consider two ideal gases, A &amp; B, at the same temperature. The rms speed of the molecules of gas A is twice that of gas B. Ho
uysha [10]

Answer:

option (d)

Explanation:

The relation between the rms velocity and the molecular mass is given by

v   proportional to  \frac{1}{\sqrt{M}} keeping the temperature constant

So for two gases

\frac{v_{A}}{v_{B}}=\sqrt{\frac{M_{B}}{M_{A}}}

\frac{2v_{B}}{v_{B}}=\sqrt{\frac{M_{B}}{M_{A}}}

{\frac{M_{B}}{M_{A}}} = 4

{\frac{M_{B}}{4}} = M_{A}

Why is newton's gravitational force called universal gravitational force
Lelechka [254]
Newton’s law of gravity is considered “universal” because it is believed to be applicable to the entire Universe (to a good approximation). Gravity does not just pull an apple from a tree, but also pulls the Moon to the Earth, the Earth to the Sun, and so on. Gravity is a fundamental force of nature.
