When we apply the energy conversation principle to a cylinder rolling down an incline without sliding, we exclude the work done
NikAS [45]

Answer:

D. the linear velocity of the point of contact (relative to the inclined surface) is zero

Explanation:

The force of friction emerges only when there is relative velocity between two objects . In case of perfect rolling , there is no sliding so relative velocity between the surface and the point of contact is zero . In other words the velocity of point of contact becomes zero , even though , the whole body is in linear motion . It happens due  point of contact having two velocities which are equal and opposite . One of the velocity is in forward direction and the other velocity which is due to rotation is in backward direction . So net velocity of point of contact becomes zero . Due to absence of sliding , displacement due to friction  becomes zero . Hence work done by friction becomes zero.

What type of electromagnetic energy is microwave energy
Debora [2.8K]

Sup cuz u only came back to ask a question cuz. sure cuz. here its cuz. that will be the answer cuz. So the answer could be cuz. Still thinking it might be cuz. Problably i still dont know cuz. Come back cuz. F u Cuz.

Im dead cuz

my finall answer was

Microwaves are a type of electromagnetic radiation, as are radio waves, ultraviolet radiation, X-rays and gamma-rays. Microwaves have a range of applications, including communications, radar and, perhaps best known by most people, cooking.Feb 8, 2018

A. Compute the torque developed by an industrial motor whose ouputis 150kW at an angular speed of 4000 rev/min.
Gnom [1K]

Answer:

A. τ = 358 N.m

B. m = 73kg

C. V = 209.5 m/s

Explanation:

Let's first convert angular speed to rad/s:

ω = 4000 rev/min * 2π / 60 = 419 rad/s

Since Power is P = τ * ω,

τ = P / ω = 358 N.m

For part B: On the hanging weight:

T - m*g = 0

T = m*g

On the drum:

τ = T*R    Replacing the expression for Tension of the rope:

τ = m*g*R

Solving for m:

m = 73 kg

For part C:

V = ω * R = 209.5 m/s

Why do you think the rate of weathering tends to increase at hotter temperatures and higher amounts of rainfall?
lesya692 [45]

Answer:

Explanation:

Both increase in temperature and availability of water drives physical and chemical weathering and increases their rate.

Increase in temperature causes rocks to expand  and molecules are more free to move about. Constantly heating and cooling of a rock can lead to mechanical fracturing or cracks developing.

A high amount of rainfall facilitates chemical weathering. Chemical weathering is the decomposition of rocks.

The main agent that is important for natural chemical processes to occur is the presence water.

Water contains some other dissolved substances in it.

This is evident in tropical regions of the world
