Answer:

Fundamental equation for SHM:   w = (k/m)^1/2  where w is angular frequency

Or since P = 1 / f = 2 pi / w = 2 pi (m / k)^1/2

The equivalent equation for a simple pendulum is:

P = 2 pi (L / g)^1/2    or g = 4 pi^2 L / P^2

g = 4 pi^2 * 3.54 / 12^2 = .971 m / s^2

Something wrong - should be 9.71 m / s^2

A 3.5 kg object gains 76 J of potential energy as it is lifted vertically. Find the new height of the object?
Eduardwww [97]

Answer:

1.72 m

Explanation:

Potential energy = mgh, where m is mass, g is acceleration due to gravity (9.8), and h is height

76 = (3.5)(9.8)h

76=44.1h

h=1.72335600907 ≈1.72 m

When a satellite is a distance R from the center of the Earth, the force of gravity on the satellite is F. What is the gravitati
Lubov Fominskaja [6]

Gravitational force on a satellite is given by the formula

F = \frac{GMm}{r^2}

now here we know that force on the satellite is F when its distance from center of Earth is R

Now the distance from the center of earth will be 3R so the force is given as

F' = \frac{GMm}{(3R)^2}

F' = \frac{GMm}{9R^2}

so if we compare it with initial value of force then it is

F' = \frac{F}{9}

so correct answer is

(1) F/9

zmey [24]
The correct answer is <span>X–rays.

X-beams or X-rays are a kind of radiation called electromagnetic waves. X-beam imaging makes photos of within your body. The pictures demonstrate the parts of your body in various shades of high contrast. This is on account of various tissues retain diverse measures of radiation.

Is the bike rider in the picture above demonstrating kinetic energy or potential energy? you need to explain your answer.
soldi70 [24.7K]

Answer:

Kinetic energy

Explanation:

Kinetic energy is a function of velocity. Since the rider is moving at a certain speed, he's demonstrating kinetic energy. It can't be potential energy because potential energy encompass mgh
