Force is equal to mass multiplied by acceleration.
F = m a
The larger mass will require greater force to make the same acceleration.

Answer:

It takes more force to accelerate a dump truck

Explanation:

Because a dump truck has more mass so it would also have more friction and accelerate slower.

Rama09 [41]

Answer:

18 miles

Explanation:

The average speed is 6 mph

Melanie ran for 3 hours

Speed × Time = Distance

A mass hangs on the end of a massless rope. The pendulum is held horizontal and released from rest. When the mass reaches the bo
drek231 [11]

Answer:

T = 37.5 N

Explanation:

As the pendulum reached to the lowest position then we will have

T - mg = \frac{mv^2}{L}

14.2 - m(9.81) = \frac{m(2.9^2)}{L}

now when it will reach to the height of the peg then its speed is given as

v_f^2 - v_i^2 = 2 a d

so we will have

v_f^2 - 2.9^2 = 2(-9.81)(\frac{L}{5})

v_f^2 = 2.9^2 - 3.924L

also we know that

2.9^2 - 0 = 2(9.81)(L)

L = 0.43 m

m = 0.48 kg

now we have speed of the pendulum when it reach the same height is given as

v_f^2 = 2.9^2 - (3.924(0.43)

v_f = 2.6 m/s

Now the tension in the string is given as

T = \frac{mv_f^2}{\frac{L}{5}}

T = \frac{0.48(2.6)^2}{\frac{0.43}{5}}

T = 37.5 N

Explanation:

A disadvantage is that sexual reproduction takes longer than asexual reproduction. A mate must be found, the egg must be fertilised by sperm, and then the offspring develop. ... This means that some individuals would survive and be able to reproduce and generate more offspring.

Ordinarily, material presented ________ is usually the most difficult to remember due to interference
Brums [2.3K]

Memorizing items on a list are enabled by the effects of primacy and

recency.

Ordinarily, material presented <u>in the middle of a list </u> is usually the most

difficult to remember due to interference.

Reasons:

When memorizing a list of items, due to the primacy effect, the information

at the beginning of the list are given importance, in the brain, due to their

many attributes, which may be due to them being;

  • The first item
  • Definition of the task (assignment of importance level)
  • Idea of what to expect (preparation of the mind)

Also the last items on the list are recalled by the effect known as recency,

which is probably due to the tendency to store items in the short term

memory.

Therefore, in the course of memorizing a list,  the first items on the list can

be stored in the long-term memory. The items that comes last in the

list are stored in the short-term memory, while the material presented in

the middle of the list are not allocated to a storage, and are usually

the most difficult to remember due to interference, by other items that

tend to come up during the retrieval process, from the long-term memory.

<em>(Rearranging the list can aid total recall)</em>
