The total volume of gas present (in L) : 14.04 L

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

Reaction(balanced) :

C₂H₅OH(g) + 3O₂(g) → 2CO₂(g) + 3H₂O(l)

mol C₂H₅OH(MW=46,07 g/mol) :

\tt \dfrac{1.86}{46.07}=0.04

mol O₂(MW=32 g/mol) :

\tt \dfrac{10}{16}=0.625

Limiting reactant :

\tt \dfrac{0.04}{1}\div \dfrac{0.625}{3}=0.04\div 0.21\rightarrow C_2H_5OH~limiting~reactant

mol CO₂ =

\tt \dfrac{2}{1}\times 0.04=0.08

mol O₂(unreacted) :

\tt 0.625-(3\times 0.04)=0.505

Conditions at T 25 ° C and P 1 atm are stated by RTP (Room Temperature and Pressure). Vm(molar volume) in this condition = 24 liters / mol

Total volume of gas :

volume O₂+volume CO₂ =

\tt 0.505\times 24+0.08\times 24=12.12+1.92=14.04~L

Why krypton and noble gas are not used in airships using the periodic table?
WITCHER [35]

Answer:

Since the noble gases are unreactive or inert, they are safe to use. Helium is used to fill balloons and airships, because it is much lighter that air and it will not catch fire. Neon is used in advertising signs. It will give red glow, but the color can be changes by mixing it with other gases.

How many moles of ions are produced by the dissociation of 1 mol of al2(co3)3?
zloy xaker [14]
Aluminium Carbonate on Dissociation produces Aluminium Ions and carbonate Ions as follow,

                            Al₂(CO₃)₃      →     2 Al⁺³  +  3 CO₃⁻²

Result:
          On dissociation Al₂(CO₃)₃ produces FIVE Ions in total. The Ions produced and there number are as follow;

                                              Al⁺²  =  2

                                            CO₃⁻²  =  3

Which of the following will most likely happen if you apply unbalanced forces to an object? It will change position. It will bec
Tasya [4]

It will change position.

For example, you are pushing a water bottle. The push is a force that is imbalance because there is no other force pushing the water back. So if you push the water bottle, it will move. When it moves, it is also call, "Changing position" because its location changed.

Which parameter is indicative of how far and in what direction a reaction will progress?
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

Option b, The change in free energy of the reaction (ΔG)

Explanation:

Gibbs free energy is a measure of amount of usable energy in the system.

It is related with enthalpy (H), entropy (S) and temprature (T) as:

G = H - TS

The Gibbs free energy change (ΔG) provide spontaneity of a chemical reaction.

If ΔG is negative, then reaction is spontaneous that means reaction is moving towards forward direction.

If ΔG is positive, then reaction is non-spontaneous that means reaction is moving in backward direction.

If ΔG is zero, then reaction is at equilibrium.

Change in enthalpy only gives informtion about heat involed in a chemical reaction, it does not give information about direction of the reaction.

So, among the given options, option b is correct.
