Answer:To understand the regional and local climates of Colorado, you must begin with a basic knowledge of Colorado's topography. Colorado lies astride the highest mountains of the Continental Divide. Nearly rectangular, its north and south boundaries are the 41° and 37° N. parallels, and the east and went boundaries are the 102° and 109° W. meridians. It is eighth in size among the 50 states, with an area of over 104,000 square miles. Although known for its mountains, nearly 40 percent of its area is taken up by the eastern high plains.

Of particular importance to the climate are Colorado's interior continental location in the middle latitudes, the high elevation of the entire region, and the mountains and ranges extending north and south approximately through the middle of the State. With an average altitude of about 6,800 feet above sea level, Colorado is the highest contiguous State in the Union. Roughly three-quarters of the Nation's land above 10,000 feet altitude lies within its borders. The State has 59 mountains 14,000 feet or higher, and about 830 mountains between 11,000 and 14,000 feet in elevation.

At the same moment, one rock is thrown upward at 4.5 m/s and another thrown downward at 6.2 m/s. What is the relative velocity o
erastova [34]
The correct answer is
C) -10.7 m/s

In fact, the first rock is moving upward with velocity +4.5 m/s, while the second rock is moving downward with velocity -6.2 m/s, with respect to a fixed reference frame. In the reference frame of the first rock, instead, the second rock is moving with velocity equal to its velocity in the fixed frame minus the velocity of the reference frame of the first rock:
v=-6.2 m/s -(+4.5 m/s) = -10.7 m/s

An object with the mass of 2.0 kg accelerates 2.0 m/s2 when an inknown force is applied to it what is the amount of the force
Ivahew [28]

As per Newton's II law we know that

F = ma

here F = force applied

m = mass of object = 2 kg

a = acceleration = 2 m/s^2

now as per above formula we will have

F = 2 \times 2

F = 4 N

so here applied force on the ball will be 4 N

Select an incorrect statement relating to a Carnot cycle operating on a gas. A) Each process is a reversible process. B) work oc
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

B)

D)

Explanation:

Carnot cycle ;

 This is the ideal cycle for all type of heat engine.All the process in the Carnot cycle is reversible processes ( those process does not leave any effect on the system as well as surrounding when the process is reversed is known as reversible process).It have four process in which two process is constant temperature and other two is isentropic or we can say that reversible adiabatic.

In the two process(constant temperature) only heat interaction take places and other two process(adiabatic) only work interaction take places.

So the option B and D is incorrect for Carnot cycle.
