Excellent human jumpers can leap straight up to a height of
Firlakuza [10]

For a human jumper to reach a height of 110 cm, the person will need to leave the ground at a speed of 4.65 m/s.

We can calculate the initial speed to reach 110 cm of height with the following equation:

v_{f}^{2} = v_{i}^{2} - 2gh

Where:

v_{f}: is the final speed = 0 (at the maximum height of 110 cm)

v_{i}: is the initial speed =?

g: is the acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s²

h: is the height = 110 cm = 1.10 m

Hence, the <u>initial velocity</u> is:

v_{i} = \sqrt{v_{f}^{2} + 2gh} = \sqrt{2*9.81 m/s^{2}*1.10 m} = 4.65 m/s

Therefore, the initial speed that the person must have to reach 110 cm is 4.65 m/s.

If you throw a ball down ward then acceleration immeditely after leaving your hand is
bezimeni [28]

Answer:

9.8m/s²

Explanation:

The acceleration of the ball thrown after leaving my hand is 9.8m/s². This will be the acceleration due to gravity on the body.

  • Acceleration due to gravity is caused by the pull of the earth on a massive object.
  • The value of this acceleration is 9.8m/s².
  • As the ball nears the surface, it comes near zero.

The 8.00-cm long second hand on a watch rotates smoothly.
dolphi86 [110]
The watch hand covers an angular displacement of 2π radians in 60 seconds.

ω = 2π/60
ω = 0.1 rad/s

v = ωr
v = 0.1 x 0.08
v = 8 x 10⁻³ m/s

The particles that make up protons and neutrons are called
Sphinxa [80]

Answer:

Quark

Explanation:

In the past the proton,neutron and electron were believed to be indivisible. Quarks were later discovered to be particles that make up the proton and neutron. Quarks are known as fast moving points of energy and are usually joined to one another through gluons. Neutron has two down quarks and one up quark while proton has two up quarks and one down quark.
