Answer:

Explanation:

In Ptolemy's geocentric model of the universe, the Sun, the Moon, and each planet orbit a stationary Earth. He had them in circle orbits.

Galileo's model showed that the sun was the centre of the universe. That everything orbited around the earth. He also saw that they we in elliptical orbits.

Galileo proved Ptolemy wrong because Ptolemy said that everything orbited the earth and they orbited in circle but they orbit in ovals (elliptical) and that they orbit the sun.

A dog in an open field runs 11.0 m east and then 28.0 m in a direction 49.0 ∘ west of north. In what direction must the dog then
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

\theta=19.03 SE

Explanation:

From the question we are told that:

d_1=11.0m East

d_2=28.0m 49 \textdegree west\ north

d_3=10m south

Generally the equation for Resolutions is mathematically given by

d_x=-11-(-28sin49)

d_x=10.132m

Where

d_y=-11-(28cos49)

d_y=-29.37m

Generally the equation for Direction is mathematically given by

\theta=tan^{-1}(\frac{dx}{dy})

\theta=tan^{-1}(\frac{10.132}{29.37})

\theta=19.03 SE

Which point on the roller coaster's path represents the maximum potential energy?
mariarad [96]

Answer:

Point A (Maximum height)

Explanation:

Potential energy is given as the product of mass, height and acceleration due to gravity hence expressed as mgh where m is the mass of roller coaster, h is the height and g is acceleration due to gravity. Since the mass and g are constant for a roller coaster, the main factor that will influence the magnitude of energy is the height. The higher the height, the higher the potential energy and vice versa. Using the attached image, the highest point is point A
