All atomic elements consist of a positively charged nucleus surrounded by a cloud of negatively charged electrons. When two atoms of the same element have different numbers of neutrons and therefore a different atomic mass they are known as isotopes of the given element. An example of an isotope is deuterium, which is an isotope of hydrogen.

A chemical reaction takes place inside a flask submerged in a water bath. The water bath contains 6.50kg of water at 24.2°C. Dur
sukhopar [10]

Answer:

27.4°C

Explanation:

Using the equation:

Q = m*C*T

<em>Where Q is heat added,</em>

<em>m the mass of water</em>

<em>C specific heat of water (4.18J/g°C)</em>

<em>And T the increase in temperature</em>

We can solve for the increase in temperature and thus, the final temperature of water:

Q = 88200J; m = 6500g:

88200J = 6500g*4.18J/g°C*T

3.2°C = T = increase in temperature

Final temperature is:

24.2°C + 3.2°C =

The whiye pigment TiO2 is prepared by the reaction of titanium tetrachloride, TiCl4, with water vapor in the gas phase:
omeli [17]

Answer:

\boxed{\text{62.1 kJ}}

Explanation:

The formula for calculating the enthalpy change of a reaction by using the enthalpies of formation of reactants and products is

\Delta_{\text{r}}H^{\circ} = \sum \Delta_{\text{f}} H^{\circ} (\text{products}) - \sum\Delta_{\text{f}}H^{\circ} (\text{reactants})

                          TiCl₄(g) + 2H₂O(g) ⟶ TiO₂(s) + 4HCl(g)

ΔH°f/kJ·mol⁻¹:    -763.2     -241.828     -939.7    -92.307

\begin{array}{rcl}\Delta_{\text{r}}H^{\circ} & = & [-939.7 + 4(-92.307)] - [-763.2 + 2(-241.828)\\& = & [-939.7 - 369.228] - [-763.2 - 483.656]\\& = & -1308.928 + 1246.856\\& = & \mathbf{-62.1}\\\end{array}\\\text{The amount of heat evolved is } \boxed{\textbf{62.1 kJ}}

A student needs exactly 1 gram of baking powder to conduct an experiment. The balance reads 0.37 grams. How
sammy [17]

Answer:

B

Explanation:

If the student needs one gram but so far only has 0.37 grams, then the amount they need is the difference between what they need and how much they already have. 1-0.37=0.63 grams.

...which isn't actually an option because none of them have decimal points but I would say it is B anyway because it is the equivalent ratio and maybe there was a typo.

Hope this helped!

The Development and Characterization of Carbon Nanofiber/Polylactic Acid Filament for Additively Manufactured Piezoresistive Sen
horrorfan [7]

Compared to carbon nanotube, carbon nanofiber (CNF) is a unique quasi-one-dimensional nanostructure with a lot of edges and flaws (CNT). Additionally, their low cost and wide availability make them a valuable nanomaterial for upcoming technology.

<h3>what are the development and characterization of Carbon Nanofiber for Additively Manufactured Piezo resistive Sensors?</h3>

In accordance with the semiconductor material's piezo resistive effect, diffusion resistance is used to manufacture piezo resistive sensors on substrates of semiconductor materials. The diffusion resistor is connected in the substrate in the form of a bridge, allowing the substrate to be employed directly as a measuring sensor element.

  • Carbon nanofiber/polylactic acid filament for fused filament fabrication (FFF) and additive manufacturing (AM) strain sensors was studied for the effects of production factors.
  • To investigate the effects of CNF weight fraction, extrusion temperature, and number of extrusions on sensor performance, a design of experiments (DOE) approach was used. In the initial extrusion, dry melt mixing was used to combine CNFs and powdered PLA material.
  • Through the DOE procedure, it was discovered that extruding CNF/PLA material for two complete extrusions at 185 °C resulted in material with material with material with dramatically improved electrical characteristics in comparison to unmodified material.
  • Piezoresistive dog-bone shaped sensors were made using the best manufacturing technique using three different sizes of 5.0, 7.5, and 10.0 wt% CNF/PLA filament.
