A uniform electric field of magnitude 4.6 ✕ 104 N/C is perpendicular to a square sheet with sides 3.0 m long. What is the electr
rodikova [14]

Answer:

41.4* 10^4 N.m^2/C

Explanation:

given:

E= 4.6 * 10^4 N/C

electric field is 4.6 * 10^4 N/C and square sheet is perpendicular to electric field so, area of vector is parallel to electric field

then electric flux = ∫ E*n dA

                            = ∫ 4.6 * 10^4 * 3*3

                            = 41.4* 10^4 N.m^2/C

Two planets have the same surface gravity, but planet b has twice the radius of planet
nevsk [136]
The formula for the acceleration due to gravity is:

a = Gm/r²
where
G is the universal gravitational constant = 6.6726 x 10⁻¹¹ N-m²/kg²
m is the mass of planet
r is the radius of planet

So, if they have the same a:

m₁/r₁² = m₂/r₂²
So, if m₁ = m and r₂ = 2r₁,
m/r₁² = m₂/(2r₁)²
m₂ = 4m

<em>Thus, the answer is D.</em>

A constant force is applied to an object, causing the object to accelerate at 10 m/s^2. What will the acceleration be if: a) The
Liula [17]
What you need to know is that the force is

F=ma

The force is the product of mass and acceleration

this means that the acceleration is

a=F/m

a) The force is halved?
this means that f will be \frac{F}{2} now:

a=\frac{F}{2m}

So the accelaration will also he halved (it's the original acceleratation divided by 2)

 b) The object's mass is halved?
a=\frac{F}{m/2}=a=\frac{F2}{m}

which is the original acceleration times two!! so it will double

c) The force and the object's mass are both halved?
now we have

a=\frac{F/2}{m/2}=a=\frac{2F}{2m}=a=\frac{F}{m}

so they will cancel each other out and the acceleration will stay the same!

A 20 kg shopping cart moving at a velocity of 0.5 m/s collides with a store wall and
MAXImum [283]

Answer:

<h2>10 kg.m/s</h2>

Explanation:

The momentum of an object can be found by using the formula

momentum = mass × velocity

From the question we have

momentum = 20 × 0.5

We have the final answer as

<h3>10 kg.m/s</h3>

Hope this helps you
