when a person uses an iron to remove the wrinkles from a shirt, why does heat travel from the iron to the shirt?
artcher [175]
I think the answer to your question is that:
There is chemical energy being produced (by the water) and that causes the base of iron to absorb the heat. Then when the heated base of the iron is placed onto the shirt, the heat flattens the wrinkles on it.

What happens to a light wave when it travels from air into glass?
tino4ka555 [31]
Light is refracted when it crosses the interface from air to glass in which it moves more slowly.
Since the light speed changes at the interface, the wave length of the light must change too. The wave length decreases as the light enter the medium and the light wave changes direction.

Which of these items are made of cells? Check all that apply.
Katen [24]

Answer:

The correct answers are: Bacteria, Horses, Humans and Mushrooms.

Explanation:

All living organisms are made up of cells. A cell is a microscopic atomic unit and is made up of cytoplasm, one or more nuclei, and a membrane.

They are divided into eukaryotic cells (with nucleus) and prokaryotic cells (they do not have a nucleus).

Depending on the number of cells that living organisms have, they can be classified as single-celled organisms, which are made up of one cell. For example bacteria.

Or they can be multicellular organisms, formed by two or more cells, for example horses.

What do you mean by kintic theory of matter
Zanzabum

Answer:

The Kinetic Theory of Matter states that matter is composed of a large number of small particles—individual atoms or molecules—that are in constant motion. This theory is also called the Kinetic-Molecular Theory of Matter and the Kinetic Theory of Gases.

Explanation:

The theory is practically stating all matter is pretty much filled with kinetic energy and kinetic as you learn in 6th grade, means to be in motion. So its just saying that all matter is non-stop moving.
