We have that the percentage  of SPT (3.10 g/mL)  present in a solution with a density of 2.60 g/mL is

Percentage of spt=2\%

From the question we are told

What percent of SPT (3.10 g/mL) is present in a solution with a density of 2.60 g/mL, suitable to separate quartz and feldspar? The other component of this solution is water (1.00 g/mL)

Generally the equation for the Desired SPT is mathematically given as

3.10x+(2.6-\rho)*1=2.7

Where

Density of Quartz is Generally given as 2.7g/ml

Therefore

3.10-\rho=2.7\\\\2.1=0.05\\\\\rho=0.02

Therefore

Percentage of spt=0.02*100

Percentage of spt=2\%

In the process of ionization, what is the relationship between the second ionization energy (I2) and the third ionization energy
dimulka [17.4K]
<span>The first ionization energy is the energy that is obligatory in order to eliminate the first electron from an atom(neutral) in the GAS phase
, the second ionization energy is defined as  the energy required to remove the second electron from an atom(+1 ion) in the GAS phase.
</span>the third ionization energy is the energy it takes to remove an electron from a 2+ ion. (That means that the atom has already lost two electrons, you are now removing the third.)
<span> Ionization energy will normally increase for every electron that is removed and increases from left to right in the periodic table and moving up the periods

Explain how lines latitude and longitude help people find locations on earth.
Bad White [126]
Latitude and longitude are the x and y axis on a grid. When you're trying to find a location on earth, you need to graph it, so you can pinpoint the location. There is no grid if there is no longitude and/or latitude lines. Without one of the lines, it would be very hard to graph, which will be difficult in finding locations on earth. But hey, I'm not too sure. I recommend looking at other people's answers too and searching it up.

Which of the following subatomic particles are found surrounding the nucleus and have a negative charge?
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

J electrons

Explanation:

Electrons are the negatively charged subatomic particles that surrounds the nucleus of an atom.

  • Electrons occupy the bulk volume of an atom.
  • These particle was discovered by J.J Thomson
  • They found orbiting the extra-nuclear space of every atom.
  • The nucleus is made up of protons and neutrons.

4. To how much water should 50 mL of 12 M hydrochloric acid be added to
Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer : The volume of water added are, 15 mL

Explanation :

Formula used :

M_1V_1=M_2V_2

where,

M_1\text{ and }V_1 are the initial molarity and volume of HCl.

M_2\text{ and }V_2 are the final molarity and volume of water.

We are given:

M_1=12M\\V_1=50mL\\M_2=40M\\V_2=?

Putting values in above equation, we get:

12M\times 50mL=40M\times V_2\\\\V_2=15mL

Hence, the volume of water added are, 15 mL

If 45.0 liters of oxygen is measured at 24.0C, what would be its volume at standard temperature?
nika2105 [10]

The volume of the oxygen gas at standard temperature  is 41.36 liters.

The given parameters;

  • <em>initial volume of oxygen, V₁ = 45 L</em>
  • <em>temperature of oxygen, T₁ = 24 ⁰C = 297 K</em>
  • <em>standard temperature, T₂ = 0 ⁰C = 273 K</em>

<em />

The volume of the oxygen gas at standard temperature is determined by applying Charles law as shown below;

\frac{V_1}{T_1} = \frac{V_2}{T_2} \\\\V_2 = \frac{V_1 T_2}{T_1} \\\\V_2 = \frac{45 \times 273}{297} \\\\V_2 = 41.36 \ L

Thus, the volume of the oxygen gas at standard temperature  is 41.36 L.
