Calculate the mass of water producd from the reaction of 126g of pentaboron noahydride with 192g of moleculAR OXYGEN
Sindrei [870]

Answer:

81.08g of H_{2}O will be produced.

Explanation:

Write down the balanced chemical equation:

B_5H_9 + O_2 ⇒ B_2O_3+H_2O

2B_5H_9+12O_2 ⇒ 5B_2O_3+9H_2O

Determine the limiting reagent:

B_5H_9 :-    126/63.12646 = 1.995993 mol

               1.995993/2 = 0.9979965

O_2 :-         192/31.9988 = 6.000225 mol

               6.000225/12 = 0.50001875

Therefore, O_2, is the limiting reagent.

Use stoichiometry ratios to determine the number of moles of water produced:

         O_2         :        H_2O

         12          :          9

  6.000225   :       4,500168756328362

Use the mole formula to calculate the mass of water produced:

n=\frac{m}{M} \\m=nM\\m=(4.500168756328362)(18.01528)\\m=81.08g

A golf pro has 2100 J of kinetic energy and swings his driver which weighs .75 kg. What is the speed of his swing?
jeka57 [31]

Answer : The correct answer is 74.83 m/s .

The kinetic energy is energy possessed by any mass which is moving or have some speed . It is product of mass and velocity . It is expressed as :

KE = \frac{1}{2}  * m* v^2

Where KE = kinetic energy in J or kg\frac{m^2}{s^2} m = mass in Kg v = speed in m/s²

Unit of KE is Joules (J) .

Givne : KE = 2100 J mass = 0.75 kg v = ?

Plugging value in KE formula =>

2100 J = \frac{1}{2}  * 0.75 Kg * v^2

2100 J = 0.375 Kg * v^2

Dividing both side by 0.375 kg =>

\frac{2100 J}{0.375 Kg}  = \frac{0.375 Kg}{0.375 Kg } * v^2

v^2 = 5600 \frac{m^2}{s^2}

v= 74.83 \frac{m}{s}

Paul [167]

Answer:

a mixture

Explanation:

A mixture is a material made up of two or more components joined together, but not chemically combined. In a mixture, a chemical reaction does not occur and each of its components maintains its identity and chemical properties.

A compound is a substance formed by the chemical combination of two or more different elements from the periodic table. The elements of a compound cannot be divided or separated by physical processes. They are not mixtures or alloys

An element is a type of matter made up of atoms of the same class.  It is an atom with unique physical characteristics, that substance that cannot be decomposed by a chemical reaction.

Setler79 [48]

Answer:

192g

Explanation:

so for this find out there moles of CH4 by moles=mass/mr

48/16=3 then use molar ratio 1:2 so times it by 2 which is 6 moles. then uses mass =moles*mr so 6*32=192g is the answer hope this helps to understand.
