Mass is a measurement of an object's tendency to resist changing its state of motion, known as inertia.

Weight, on the other hand, is a measure of the amount of downwards force that gravity exerts on an object. This force increases with the object's mass: the more inertia it has, the harder gravity pulls.

Answer:

MASS — A coherent, typically large body of matter with no definite shape.

WEIGHT — A body's relative mass or the quantity of matter contained by it, giving rise to a downward force; the heaviness of a person or thing.

light of a certain frequency has a wavelength of 438 nm in water.What is the wavelength of this light in benzene
sveticcg [70]

Answer:

388.97 nm

Explanation:

The computation of the wavelength of this light in benzene is shown below:

As we know that

n (water) = 1.333

n (benzene) = 1.501

\lambda (water) \times n(water) = \lambda (benzene) \times n(benzene)

And, the wavelength of water is 438 nm

\lambda (benzene) = \lambda (water) [\frac{n(water)}{n(benzene}]

Now placing these values to the above formula

So,

= 438 \times \frac{1.333}{1.501}

= 388.97 nm

We simply applied the above formula so that we can easily determine the wavelength of this light in benzene could come

A father pushes his child on a swing. He pushes with a force of 20 N or a distance of 1 m, with the force always maintained para
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

20 Joules

Explanation:

Work is done whenever a force moves a body through a certain distance in the direction of the force. So, work done is the product of force and distance moved.

Therefore, we have;

Work done = Force x distance

i.e   Wd = Fs

Given that: F = 20 N and s = 1 m, then;

Wd = 20 N x 1 m

     = 20 Nm

The work done by the father is 20 Joules(Nm).

Answer:

1. C: 31/14 Si becomes 31/15 because a nuetron

2. A: 238 92U because the very long half-life means a very small rate of decay

3. D: Charge conservation is not satisfied

4. B: of the four nuclear decay processes only the α-decay changes the baryon number and does so in increments of four
