How many liters of water can be made from 55 grams of oxygen gas and an excess of hydrogen at a pressure of 12.4 atm and a tempe
polet [3.4K]
First, we need the no.of moles of O2 = mass/molar mass of O2
                                                             = 55 g / 32 g/mol
                                                             = 1.72 mol
from the balanced equation of the reaction:
2H2 (g) + O2(g) → 2H2O(g)
we can see that the molar ratio between O2: H2O = 1: 2
So we can get the no.of moles of H2O = 2 * moles of O2
                                                                  = 2 * 1.72 mol
                                                                  = 3.44 mol
So by substitution by this value in ideal gas formula:
PV = nRT

when P = 12.4 atm  & n H2O = 3.44 mol & R= 0.0821 & T = 85 + 273=358K

12.4 atm *V = 3.44 * 0.0821 * 358 = 8.15 L
 ∴ V ≈ 8.2 L

The wavelength of a given region of the electromagnetic spectrum ranges from 1 x 10-11 - 1 x 10-8 meters. Which waves are found
Fittoniya [83]
The correct answer is option B. X-rays are the waves found in the electromagnetic spectrum at a wavelength of 1x10^-11 - 1x10^-8 m and frequencies of 3x10^16 to 3x10^19 Hz. These waves penetrate easily through certain materials which made them usefule in the field of medicine.

2. The density of helium is 1.78 X 104 g/cm. What is this<br> density in Dg/um??
Zepler [3.9K]

Answer:

d=1.78\times 10^{-7}\ Dg/\mu m^3

Explanation:

Given,

The density of Helium is 1.78\times 10^4\ g/cm^3

We need to find the density in Dg/μm

We know that,

1 g = 10 dg

1 cm³ = 10¹² μm³

So,

d=1.78 \times 10^4\ g/cm^3\\\\=1.78 \times 10^4\times \dfrac{10\ dg}{10^{12}\ \mu m^3}\\\\=1.78\times 10^{-7}\ Dg/\mu m^3

So, the density of Helium is equal to 1.78\times 10^{-7}\ Dg/\mu m^3.
