Place the longitude coordinates in the order of a one-way journey from east to west. Please help ASAP

Chemistry

The order in which the coordinates would go is as follows:

  • 163° 4'38'' E
  • 45° 10' 3'' E
  • 45° 7' 12'' E
  • 28° 51' 55'' W
  • 90° 23' 1'' W
  • 179° 59' 59'' W

When moving from the East to the West, you would be approaching to Prime Meridian which is 0°. This means that for longitudinal lines marked as "°E" their value would keep dropping till they get to the Prime Meridian.

This is why the first "°E" in the order is larger than the last one.

When you pass the Prime Meridian and begin going west, the numbers will keep increasing and this is why the first line marked "°W" is lower than the last number.

In conclusion, lines of longitude are change differently as one travels past the prime meridian.

What is true of intercellular signals that do not go through direct connections between cells, such as plasmodesmata?
Ronch [10]

I believe that what happens here is that when those cells carrying those intercellular signals do no pass through the connections, actually the signal is passed through or are transferred to adjacent cells for signal transmission, hence the answer is:

The conversation of cyclopropane to propene in the gas phase is a first order reaction with a rate constant of 6.7x10-⁴s-¹. a) i
Rus_ich [418]

Answer: a)  The concentration after 8.8min is 0.17 M

b) Time taken for the concentration of cyclopropane to decrease from 0.25M to 0.15M is 687 seconds.

Explanation:

Expression for rate law for first order kinetics is given by:

t=\frac{2.303}{k}\log\frac{a}{a-x}

where,

k = rate constant

t = age of sample

a = let initial amount of the reactant

a - x = amount left after decay process

a) concentration after 8.8 min:

8.8\times 60s=\frac{2.303}{6.7\times 10^{-4}s^{-1}}\log\frac{0.25}{a-x}

\log\frac{0.25}{a-x}=0.15

\frac{0.25}{a-x}=1.41

(a-x)=0.17M

b) for concentration to decrease from 0.25M to 0.15M

t=\frac{2.303}{6.7\times 10^{-4}s^{-1}}\log\frac{0.25}{0.15}\\\\t=\frac{2.303}{6.7\times 10^{-4}s^{-1}}\times 0.20

t=687s

Which of the following describes a covalent bond?
Marizza181 [45]

Answer:

D. It is the sharing of electrons between atoms with an electronegativity difference below 1.7

Covalent bonds share electrons, whereas ionic bonds exchange electrons. Covalent bonds have an electronegativity of 0.0-1.7 (0.0-0.3 is a nonpolar covalent bond and 0.3-1.7 is a polar covalent bond). Ionic bonds are bonds that go beyond the electronegativity of 1.7 to 4.0 (1.7-4.0).
