Answer:  When you divide a negative number by a positive number your answer will be a negative number. Same with Multiplication It doesn't matter what order positive and negative numbers are in. The answer is always going to be a negative number.

Negative numbers have a value of less than zero. These numbers are found when working with the numbers on the left side of the number line. Negative numbers can be added, subtracted, multiplied, and divided just like positive numbers.  For fractions, negative and positive, has a rule when dividing, both of them.  When you divide fractions (negative and postive) you do this rule called, "keep, change, flip."  Let's say we have 1/2 divided by -1/4.  We keep the 1/2, change the sign, so from division to multiplication and flip -1/4, which will be -4.  So now we can evaluate from 1/2*-4...which is -2.  Same thing with all postive and negative fractions, when you are dividing of course!
