If the silver chloride is not dry when its mass is determined, will the calculated percent of silver in the alloy be too high or

too low?

Too high because there will be extra water weight on the silver chloride therefore making it seem like there is more silver than there actually is

Determine which of the following statement is correct when the equilibrium constant K for a certain reaction is 10 at 298 K and
aev [14]

Answer:

4. The reaction is spontaneous at any temperatures if the standard entropy of reaction is positive.

Explanation:

Equilibrium constant decreases on increasing the temperature . So the reaction appears to be exothermic . In other words

ΔH is negative .

Δ G = ΔH - TΔS

If ΔS is positive , second  term is negative . ΔH is negative so the RHS of the equation is negative at all temperatures . Hence Δ G of the  reaction is negative . So reaction is spontaneous at any temperature.

How are the elements Neon, Selenium, and Fluorine ordered from most reactive to least reactive?
Burka [1]

Answer:

selenium, fluorine and neon

Explanation:

the less valence electrons an element has, the more reactive.

selenium has 6 valence electrons

fluorine has 7 valence electrons

neon has 8 valence electrons

So, it is ordered from the least number of valence electrons to the most

What mass of each solute is present in 294 g of a solution that contains 4.86% by mass NaCl and 7.54% by mass Na2CO3
Angelina_Jolie [31]
In order to compute the mass of each solute in the sample, we simply multiply the percentage mass of each solute with the total mass of the solution. This is ad such:
Mass (NaCl) = 0.0486 x 294
Mass (NaCl) = 14.29 grams

Mass(Na₂CO₃) = 0.0754 x 294
Mass(Na₂CO₃) = 22.17 grams

Calculating the expected pH of the buffer solution: Given that the pKa for Acetic Acid is 4.77, calculate the expected pH of the
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

pH=4.77

Explanation:

From the question we are told that:

pKa for Acetic Acid pK_a= 4.77

Therefore

For Equal Concentration of acetic acid and acetatic ion

CH_3COOH=CH_3COO^-

Generally the Henderson's equation for pH value is mathematically given by

pH=pK_a+log\frac{base}{acid}

pH=4.77+log\frac{CH_3COO^-}{CH_3COOH}

pH=4.77+log1

pH=4.77
