PLEASE HELP

Physics
1 answer:
Anton [14]3 years ago

Explanation:

1st.

potential energy = 16 j

acceleration d t gravity = 9.8 m/s²

mass = 7 kg

we know

pe = m×g×h

16 = 7 × 9.8 × h

16 = 68.6h

16/68.6 = h

h = 2.16

2nd :

ke = 316 j

s = 10

we have

ke = 0.5×m×s²

316 = 0.5 × m × 10²

316 = 0.5 × m × 100

316 = 50m

316/50 = m

6.32 = m

m = 6.32 kg

may be check it once cuz I'm also not perfect at numericals too . I'm just 14 yo girl lol.

hope this helps :)

An electron has a kinetic energy of 3.00 ev. find its wavelength. (b) what if? a photon has energy 3.00 ev. find its wavelength.
Harman [31]
(a) The electron kinetic energy is
K=3.00 eV
which can be converted into Joule by keeping in mind that
1 eV=1.6 \cdot 10^{-19}eV
So that we find
K=3.00 eV \cdot 1.6 \cdot 10^{-19} eV/J =4.8 \cdot 10^{-19}J

The kinetic energy of the electron is related to its momentum p by:
K= \frac{p^2}{2m}
where m is the electron mass. Re-arranging the equation, we find
p= \sqrt{ 2Km}= \sqrt{ 2  ( 4.8 \cdot 10^{-19} J)(9.1 \cdot 10^{-31} kg) } =9.35 \cdot 10^{-25} kgm/s

And now we can use De Broglie's relationship to find its wavelength:
\lambda= \frac{h}{p}= \frac{6.6 \cdot 10^{-34} Js}{9.35 \cdot 10^{-25} kg m/s} =7.06 \cdot 10^{-10}m
where h is the Planck constant.

(b) By using the same procedure of part (a), we can convert the photon energy into Joules:
E=3.00 eV \cdot 1.6 \cdot 10^{-19} eV/J =4.8 \cdot 10^{-19}J

The energy of a photon is related to its frequency f by:
E=hf
where h is the Planck constant. Re-arranging the equation, we find
f= \frac{E}{h}= \frac{4.8 \cdot 10^{-19} J}{6.6 \cdot 10^{-34}Js} =7.27 \cdot 10^{14}Hz

And now we can use the relationship between frequency f, speed of light c and wavelength \lambda of a photon, to find its wavelength:
\lambda= \frac{c}{f}= \frac{3 \cdot 10^8 m/s}{7.27 \cdot 10^{14} Hz} =4.13 \cdot 10^{-7} m

A 0.130 m radius, 485-turn coil is rotated one-fourth of a revolution in 4.17 ms, originally having its plane perpendicular to a
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

The magnetic field strength needed is 1.619 T

Explanation:

Given;

Number of turns, N = 485-turn

Radius of coil, r = 0.130 m

time of revolution, t =  4.17 ms = 0.00417 s

average induced emf, V = 10,000 V.

Average induced emf is given as;

V = -ΔФ/Δt

where;

ΔФ is change in flux

Δt is change in time

ΔФ = -NBA(Cos \theta_f - Cos \theta_i)

where;

N is the number of turns

B is the magnetic field strength

A is the area of the coil = πr²

θ is the angle of inclination of the coil and the magnetic field,

\theta_f = 90^o\\\theta_i = 0^o

V = NBACos0/t

V = NBA/t

B = (Vt)/NA

B = (10,000 x 0.00417) / (485 x π x 0.13²)

B =1.619 T

Thus, the magnetic field strength needed is 1.619 T

If the temperature of a volume of ideal gas increases for 100°C to 200°C, what happens to the average kinetic energy of the mole
mina [271]

Answer:\Delta E=2.0715\times 10^{-21} J

Explanation:

Given

Temperature of the gas is increased from 100 to 200

Also we know that average kinetic energy of the molecules is

E=\frac{3}{2}\cdot \frac{R}{N_A}T

Where

R=Gas constant

N_A=Avogadro's number

T=Temperature in kelvin

\frac{R}{N_A}=1.381\times 10^{-23}

So kinetic energy increases by

\Delta E=\frac{3}{2}\times 1.381\times 10^{-23}\left ( 200-100\right )

\Delta E=2.0715\times 10^{-21} J

A 0.547 kg pizza is thrown straight up in the air. At a height of 2.30 m above the surface of the earth it has a speed of 5.00 m
natima [27]

Answer:

The total mechanical energy of the pizza crust is 19.2 J.

Explanation:

Mechanical energy is that which a body or a system obtains as a result of the speed of its movement or its specific position, and which is capable of producing mechanical work. Then:

Potential energy + kinetic energy = total mechanical energy

Kinetic energy is a form of energy. It is defined as the energy associated with bodies that are in motion and this energy depends on the mass and speed of the body.

Kinetic energy is defined as the amount of work necessary to accelerate a body of a certain mass and in a position of rest, until it reaches a certain speed.

Kinetic energy is represented by the following formula:

Ec = ½ *m*v²

Where Ec is kinetic energy, which is measured in Joules (J), m is mass measured in kilograms (kg), and v is velocity measured in meters over seconds (m / s).

In this case:

  • m=0.547 kg
  • v= 5 m/s

Replacing:

Ec = ½ *0.547 kg*(5 m/s)²

and solving you get:

Ec= 6.8375 J

On the other hand, potential energy is the energy that measures the ability of a system to perform work based on its position. In other words, this is the energy that a body has at a certain height above the ground.

Gravitational potential energy is the energy associated with the gravitational force. This will depend on the relative height of an object to some reference point, the mass, and the force of gravity. Then for an object with mass m, at height h, the expression applied to the gravitational energy of the object is:

Ep = m*g*h

Where Ep is the potential energy in joules (J), m is the mass in kilograms (kg) is h the height in meters (m) and g is the acceleration of fall in m / s² (approximately 9.81 m/s²)

In this case:

  • m= 0.547 kg
  • g= 9.81 m/s²
  • h= 2.30 m

Replacing

Ep= 0.547 kg *9.81 m/s²* 2.30 m

and solving you get:

Ep= 12.342 J

So:

Total mechanical energy= 12.342 J + 6.8375 J

Total mechanical energy= 19.1795 J≅ 19.2 J

<u><em>The total mechanical energy of the pizza crust is 19.2 J.</em></u>
