Physics

Answer:

To describe motion accurately and completely, a frame of reference is necessary. frame of reference ( or reference frame) consists of an abstract coordinate system and the set of physical reference points that uniquely fix ( locate and orient ) the coordinate system and standardize measurements within that frame.

Explanation:

The different observations occur because the two observers are in different frames of reference. A frame of reference is a set of coordinates that can be used to determine positions and velocities of objects in that frame; different frames of reference move relative to one another.

Calculate specific heat of liquid if a 450. g iron block is heated to 98.0 C and then droped into a calorimeter with 125 g of un
Naya [18.7K]

Answer:

Specific heat of liquid 1.258 \ J/g^0C.

Explanation:

We know in thermal equilibrium :

Loss in heat by iron block = Gain in heat by liquid .

Specific heat of iron = 0.45 J/g^0C.  { source internet }

Now , loss in heat by iron block = mC_{iron}\Delta T=450\times 0.45\times 57.6=11664\ J.

Heat gain by liquid=mC_{liquid}\Delta T=450\times C_{liquid}\times 20.6=9270\times C_{liquid}.

Equating both we get :

C_{liquid}=1.258 \ J/g^0C.

If Paula travels 3 km south and turns and goes 4 km east, what is the total displacement? What is the total distance? Please Exp

Paula has gone 1 km east as the total displacement. The total distance would be 7 km. Why? Well, the difference between displacement and distance is displacement is directional which is why it’s included in velocity and not speed. However, distance is more broad and not as specific.

Find the average braking force of a 1000 kg car moving at 10 m/s braking to a stop in 5 s.
Verdich [7]

Answer:

-2000 N

Explanation:

To solve the problem, we can use the impulse theorem, which states that the impulse is equal to the change in momentum of the car:

I = \Delta p\\F \Delta t = m \Delta v

where

F is the average breaking force

\Delta t = 5 s is the stopping time

m = 1000 kg is the mass of the car

\Delta v = -10 m/s is the change in velocity of the car

Solving the equation for F,

F=\frac{m \Delta v}{\Delta t}=\frac{(1000 kg)(-10 m/s)}{5 s}=-2000 N

One simple use of the elements of the electromagnetic spectrum that we use during our everyday lives is our daily use of microwave radiation. microwave radiation is absorbed by water molecules which heats up and cooks the food whilst killing bacteria. Another would be ultraviolet radiation which we use daily in things such as light bulbs. The sun also uses this. Lastly, we use radio waves constantly. May it be tv programs, radio, or our cell phones.
