Answer:

1) The net force is 5 N. The box is accelerating 10 m/s

2)  The net force is 6.986 N. It is accelerating. Normal Force is 16.986

Explanation:

1) 20 N forward - 15 N backwards = a net force of 5 N

  Acceleration: Acceleration = Net Force * Mass ( derived from Force = mass * acceleration).

a = 5 N / 2 kg

a= 2.5 m/s^2

When a sound wave moves through a medium such as air, the motion of the molecules of the medium is in what direction (with respe
Alchen [17]

<span>A sound wave is a pressure wave that results from the vibration of the particles o the medium from the source. The motion of the particles in the medium is parallel to the direction of the energy transport. The type of wave formed by a sound wave is the longitudinal wave. </span>A longitudinal wave is characterized by rarefactions. A longitudinal wave is a wave motion wherein the particles in the wave medium are displaced parallel to transport. When motion is detected from the source, the particle next to it vibrates from its rest position and a progressive change in phase vibration is observed at each particle within that wave. The result is that the energy is transported from one region to the other. These combined motions result in the movement of alternating regions of rarefaction in the direction of propagation.

A 2cm length of wire centered on the origin carries a 20A current directed in the positive y direction. Determine the magnetic f
skad [1K]

Answer:

The magnetic field at a distance x = 5 m is 1.59 nT

Explanation:

Length of the wire, L = 2 cm = 0.02 m

Current, I = 20 A

x = 5 m

Magnetic field at a distance x = 5 m due to an infinitely long wire is given by:

B = \frac{\mu_{o}IL}{4\pi x\sqrt{x^{2} + L^{2}}}

B = \frac{4\pi\times 10^{- 7}\times 20\times 0.02}{4\pi \times 5\sqrt{5^{2} + 0.02^{2}}} = 1.59\times 10^{- 9}\ T

Sophia is planning on going down an 8-m water slide. Her weight is 50 N. She knows that she has gravitational potential energy (
Pepsi [2]

Answer:The higher up an object is the greater its gravitational potential energy. The larger the distance something falls through the greater the amount of GPE the object loses as it falls. As most of this GPE gets changed into kinetic energy, the higher up the object starts from the faster it will be falling when it hits the ground.  So a change in gravitational potential energy depends on the height an object moves through.

Explanation: Lifting an apple up 1 metre is easier work than lifting an apple tree the same height. This is because a tree has more mass, so it needs to be given more gravitational potential energy to reach the same height.
