Answer:

The answer is 1200 Kg

Explanation:

Given;

  • Weight of car 12000 N

To Find;

  • Mass of car = ?

Formula;

  • W = m × g
  • where, W = weight
  • m = mass,
  • g = Acceleration due to gravity = 10 m/s²

Now,

W = mg

12000 = m ÷ 10

m = 12000 ÷ 10

m = 1200 kg

Thus, The mass of car is 1200 kg or 1.2k Kg.

Isaac drops a rubber ball drom height of 2.0m and it bounces to a height of 1.5m. a) What fraction of it's initial energy is los
True [87]

Answer:

a)  ΔE = 25 %

b) v = 8,85 m/s

c) The energy was used against air resistance

Explanation:

In any situation total energy of a body is equal to potential energy plus

kinetic energy, then, just at the moment when Isaac dop the ball the situation is:

Ei = Ep + Ek         where     Ep = m*g*h    and  Ek = 1/2*m*v²

As v = 0 (Isaac drops the ball)

Ei = Ep  =  m*g*h    = 2*m*g

At the end (when the ball bounced to 1,5 m

E₂ = Ep₂ + Ek₂ again at that point v =0 and

E₂ = 1,5*m*g*

Ei =  E₂ + E(lost)

E(lost) = Ei - E₂

E(lost) = 2*m*g* - 1,5*m*g      and the fraction of energy lost is

E(lost)/Ei

ΔE = (2*m*g* - 1,5*m*g )/ 2*m*g

ΔE = 0,5*m*g / 2*m*g

ΔE = 0,5/2

ΔE = 0,25      or     ΔE = 25 %

b) The speed of the ball is

Potential energy is converted in kinetic energy just when the ball is touching the ground, then

m*g*h = 1/2*m*v²

2*h*g = 1/2 *v²

v² = 4*g*h

v² = 4*2*9,8

v² = 78,4

v = 8,85 m/s

If the impact is an elastic collision, then Ek before and after the impact is the same.

A ball is tied to the end of a cable of negligible mass. The ball is spun in a circle with a radius 2. 00 m making 7. 00 revolut
mr Goodwill [35]

Answer:

F = M ω^2 R     is the centripetal force on the ball

f = 7 / 10 = .70 / sec      revolutions / sec

ω = 2 pi f = 4.40 / sec

ah = F / m = 4.4^2 * 2 = 38.7 m/s^2

horizontal acceleration = 38.7 m/s^2

vertical acceleration = 9.80 m/s^2

a = (38.7^2 + 9.8^2)^1/2 = 39.9 m/s^2    total acceleration

A diffraction grating is placed 1.00 m from a viewing screen. Light from a hydrogen lamp goes through the grating. A hydrogen sp
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

λ = 396.7 nm

Explanation:

For this exercise we use the diffraction ratio of a grating

           d sin θ = m λ

in general the networks works in the first order m = 1

we can use trigonometry, remembering that in diffraction experiments the angles are small

           tan θ = y / L

           tan θ = \frac{sin \theta}{cos \theta} = sin θ

           sin θ = y / L

we substitute

          d \  \frac{y}{L} = m λ

with the initial data we look for the distance between the lines

           d = \frac{m \lambda \ L}{y}

           d = 1 656 10⁻⁹ 1.00 / 0.600

            d = 1.09 10⁻⁶ m

for the unknown lamp we look for the wavelength

           λ = d y / L m

           λ = 1.09 10⁻⁶ 0.364 / 1.00 1

           λ = 3.9676 10⁻⁷ m

           λ = 3.967 10⁻⁷ m

we reduce nm

           λ = 396.7 nm
