There are a number of ways to express concentration of a solution. This includes molarity. Molarity is expressed as the number of moles of solute per volume of the solution. The concentration of the solution is calculated as follows:

 Molarity = 15.5 g NaOH (1 mol NaOH / 40 g NaOH) / .250 L solution

Molarity = 1.55 M

What is the speed of light?can a object move in speed of light?
timurjin [86]

Answer:

The speed of light is the speed at which light travels. No, an object cannot move at the speed of light.

Explanation:

The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second. An object with mass cannot move at the speed of light since it would take an infinite amount of energy to achieve that velocity, since only massless particles can travel at the speed of light. Also, you would have to factor in air friction, meaning even if an object were to reach such high speeds, it would instantly disintegrate.

Which element has higher ionization energy? chlorine or carbon
PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:

chlorine has higher ionization than carbon

Explanation:

Chlorine is only one row below carbon, but it is three columns to the right in this case the IP of chlorine would be predicted to be greater than the IP of carbon.

What determines the amount of chemical energy a substance has?
Ratling [72]

Chemical energy is the kind of energy stored in the bonds formed by atoms and molecules in chemical compounds and elements. This energy is released during a chemical reaction and heat is often given out in the process. These kind of reactions where heat is given out as a by product are called exothermic reactions.

The major factor that determines how much chemical energy a substance has is the mass of that substance. Mass is defined as the amount of matter in a substance.

The higher the mass of a substance, the more concentrated that substance is and subsequently the greater the number of atoms and molecules.

Logically, the higher the number of atoms and molecules then the greater the number of bonds in that substance and subsequently the more the amount of chemical energy stored therein.

If the following elements were to combine with each other, choose which demonstrate the Law of Multiple Proportion. Select all t
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Missing question: Z:X = 7:1 A:Z = 2.5:1 A:Z = 2.2:1 Y:X = 11:1.

Answer is: Z:X = 7:1 and Y:X = 11:1.
Law of multiple proportions or Dalton's Law said that the ratios of the masses of the second element which combine with a fixed mass of the first element will be ratios of small whole numbers.
In this example ratios are whole numbers, A:Z = 2.5 : 1 and A:Z = 2.2 : 1 are not whole number ratios.
