Based on the data provided;

 • number of moles of helium gas is 1.25 moles
 • pressure at peak temperature is 259.3 kPa
 • internal pressure is above 256 kPa, therefore, the balloon will burst.
 • pressure should be reduced to a value less than 256 kPa by reducing the temperature

What is the ideal has equation?

The ideal gas equation relatesthe pressure, volume, moles and temperature of a gas.

The moles of helium gas is calculated using the Ideal gas equation:

 • PV = nRT

n is the number of moles of gas

R is molar gas constant = 8.314 L⋅kPa/Kmol

P is pressure = 239 kPa

T is temperature = 21°C = 294 K

V is volume = 12.8 L

Therefore;

n = PV/RT

n = 239 × 12.8 / 8.314 × 294

n = 1.25 moles

The number of moles of helium gas is 1.25 moles

At peak temperature, T = 46°C = 319 K

Using P1/T1 = P2/T2

P2 = P1T2/T1

P2 = 239 × 319/294

P2 = 259.3 kPa

The pressure at peak temperature is 259.3 kPa

At 42°C, T = 315 K

Using P1/T1 = P2/T2

P2 = P1T2/T1

P2 = 239 × 315/294

P2 = 256.07 kPa

Since the internal pressure is above 256 kPa, the balloon will burst.

The pressure should be reduced to a value less than 256 kPa by reducing the temperature.

Calculate the mass percent of calcium chloride in 8.87 g of calcium chloride in 65.1 g of water
zhannawk [14.2K]

Answer:

11.99 % ≅ 12.0%.

Explanation:

∵ mass % = [mass of solute/mass of solution] x 100.

mass of solute (CaCl₂) = 8.87 g & mass of solution = 8.87 g + 65.1 g = 73.97 g.

∴ mass % of (CaCl₂) = [mass of solute/mass of solution] x 100 = ( 8.87 g/ 73.97 g) x 100 = 11.99 % ≅ 12.0%.

This particle determines what element you have - the element's identity.
scoundrel [369]

Answer:

protons

These particles do not vary in quality from one element to another; rather, what gives an element its distinctive identification is the quantity of its protons, called its atomic number. Protons and neutrons contribute nearly all of an atom's mass; the number of protons and neutrons is an element's mass number

A box of jello has a mass of 250 g. How many boxes must be bought to have 1 Kg of jello? *
zhuklara [117]

Answer:

Number of boxes = 4

Explanation:

Given:

Mass of one box of jello = 250 grams

Total quantity want to purchase = 1 kg = 1 × 1,000 gram = 1,000 grams

Find:

Number of boxes in 1,000 grams = ?

Computation:

Number of boxes = Total quantity want to purchase / Mass of one box of jello

Number of boxes = 1,000 / 250

Number of boxes = 4

Therefore, 4 boxes of jello must be purchase to get 1 kg of Jello.
