A 2-kW pump is used to pump kerosene ( rho = 0. 820 kg/L) from a tank on the ground to a tank at a higher elevation. Both tanks

are open to the atmosphere, and the elevation difference between the free surfaces of the tanks is 30 m. The maximum volume flow rate of kerosene is

The maximum volume flow rate of kerosene is 8.3 L/s

What is the maximum volume flow rate?

In fluid dynamics, the maximum volume flow rate (Q) is the volume or amount of fluid flowing via a required cross-sectional area per unit time.

In fluid mechanics, using the following relation, we can determine the maximum volume flow rate of kerosene.

 • Power = mass flow rate(m) × specific work(w) --- (1)
 • Specific work = acceleration due to gravity (g) × head (h) ---- (2)
 • Mass flow rate (m) = density (ρ) × volume flow rate (Q) --- (3)

By combining the three equations together, we have:

The power gained through the fluid pump to be:

 • P = ρ × Q × g × h

Making Q the subject, we have:

\mathbf{Q = \dfrac{P}{\rho \times g \times h}}

where:

 • P = 2 kW = 2000 W
 • ρ = 0.820 kg/L
 • g = 9.8 m/s
 • h = 30 m

\mathbf{Q = \dfrac{2000 \ W }{820 \ kg/m^3 \times 9.8 m/s \times 30 \ m}}

Q = 0.008296 m³/s

Q ≅ 8.3 L/s

The recommendation to segregate FLTs and the workers are as follows:-1)Reputation of warehouse:- To be in the market the reputation of warehouse should be good,it can only happen when the worker of that warehouse is happy with the management looks after worker external and internal affairs. There should be two pathways one for vehicle and other for walking in which both can’t use vice versa.2)High Profitability:- When there is no incident or accident happens between the FLTs and the workers in the warehouse then off course the worker will be regular at work then there will be high profit .3)Insurance premium:- If there is zero accident happens in the ware house then there will no claim, the company will be in the profit..

Entropy change is evaluated using Eq. 6.2a based on an internally reversible process. Can the entropy change between two states
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

YES

Explanation:

Entropy is an extensive property of the system entropy change that value of entropy change can be determined for any process between the states whether reversible or not. i have attached the formula to calculate entropy change which is independent of whether the system is reversible or not and can be determined for any process.

Explanation:

The primary difference between integrated/concurrent engineering development and functional/sequential development is: Integrated development spends more money up front to order to save money in later stages.

Cost of integrated development is higher in the initial stages where setup has be made and proper training and education of employees are required and once it is done. It will save money in later stages.

laila [671]

Answer: Both Technicians

Explanation:

When testing a spring break it is advisable to Step on and off the brake, with the engine off, the parking brake knob is expected to pop out when air pressure falls between 20-40 psi.

Go under the vehicle and pull the spring brakes.

Turn on the engine back and pump the brake pedal down to the floor. To test the spring breaks
