Answer:

The Partial pressure of Xe and Ne will be 4.95 atm and 1.55 atm. The number of moles of Xe and Ne will be 3.13 and 0.981

Explanation:

Let the total pressure of the vessel= 6.5 atm and mole fraction of Xenon= 0.761

As we know,

\chi_{Ne} + \chi_{Xe} = 1\\\chi_{Ne}= 1- 0.761\\\chi_{Ne}= 0.239

According to Dalton's Law of partial pressure-

P_i=\chi_i\times P_{total}

Where,

P_i=The pressure of the gas component in the mixture

\chi_i= Mole fraction of that gas component

P_t= The total pressure of the mixture

P_{Xe}=(0.761)\times(6.5)\\P_{Xe}= 4.95 atm\\\\\\P_{Ne}=(0.239)\imes (6.5)\\P_{Ne}= 1.55 atm

<u>Calculation: </u>

To calculate the number of moles,

PV=nRT

n=\frac{PV}{RT}

n_{Xe}= \frac{4.95\times 15.75}{0.0821\times303 }\\ n_{Xe}= \frac{77.96}{24.87} \\n_{Xe}= 3.13\,mole \\\\\\n_{Ne}= \frac{1.55\times 15.75}{0.0821\times303 }\\\\n_{Ne}=\frac{24.41}{24.87}\\ n_{Ne}=0.981 \,mole

How many moles of water are formed when 22 mol of methane combusts?
icang [17]
Methane is a hydrocarbon which when burns in air (combustion) produces carbon dioxide and water. The equation for the reaction;
CH4 +2O2 = CO2 +2H2O
When one mole of methane combusts 2 moles of water are formed
Therefore; when 22 moles of methane combusts 44 moles of water are formed (22 ×2)

Can any of you guys help me with this. Can y’all give me some facts about nucleus protons netrons and electrons :)
Mumz [18]

Answer:

the nucleus is the center of the atom, made up of protons and neutrons, without the nucleus you'd just have a bunch of electrons floating around; the nucleus is positively charged

protons are the positively charged particles that sit within the nucleus

neutrons are particles of no charge that sit within the nucleus, and because they have no charge, they do not cancel out the positive charge of the protons, making the nucleus positive

electrons are negatively charged particles that float around the nucleus in an area known as the electron cloud, they orbit around the nucleus because they are attracted to the positive charge of the nucleus (caused by the protons), with charges, opposites attract

If you know the mass of Earth, what other single value would you need to know to calculate Earth's average density?
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

Volume

Explanation:

Density:

Density is equal to the mass of substance divided by its volume.  In order to find the density of earth when mass is given we have to calculate its volume. The volume of earth is calculated by using the volume formula for sphere. i.e 4/3 π r³. we also require radius to find the volume and we know that

Diameter = 2 × radius

The diameter of earth equator is 12756.75 Km. So we calculate the radius by dividing the diameter by 2. Then by putting the value of radius in 4/3 π r³ we will get the volume and then we can calculate the density of earth.

Units:

SI unit of density is Kg/m3.

Other units are given below,

g/cm3, g/mL , kg/L

Formula:

D=m/v

D= density

m=mass

V=volume

Symbol:

The symbol used for density is called rho. It is represented by ρ. However letter D can also be used to represent the density.

What dose the saying Stars must die for others to be born mean
Orlov [11]

Answer:

-> there isnt an exact answer

Explanation:

stars have a cycle of life, like humans and other organisms. when they are dying they may get hotter or bigger. they will become red giants, and may explode.. kinds like the big bang theory. it will leave a small white dwarf star behind, about the size of earth, and it is super hot. the stars contain dark matter which will be spewed into the galaxy planting a path for future stars

I reccomend searching google for an exact answer
