A copper penny has a mass of 3.0 g. A total of 4.0 × 1012 electrons are transferred from one neutral penny to another. If the el

ectrostatic force of attraction between the pennies is equal to the weight of a penny, what is the separation between them?

Answer:

F = K Q1 Q2 / R^2 = m g

Q1 = - Q2 = (4E12 * 1.60E-19) = 6.4E-7 coulombs

Q^2 = 4.10E-13

R^2 = 9.0E9 * 4.1E-13 / (.003 * 9.80) = 36.9E-4 / 2.94E-2

R^2 = .126

R = .35 m

Show your working please
saw5 [17]

Explanation:

There's not enough information in the problem to solve it. We need to know either the initial speed of the lorry, or the time it takes to stop.

For example, if we assume the initial speed of the lorry is 25 m/s, then we can find the rate of deceleration:

v² = v₀² + 2aΔx

(0 m/s)² = (25 m/s)² + 2a (50 m)

a = -6.25 m/s²

We can then use Newton's second law to find the force:

F = ma

F = (7520 kg) (-6.25 m/s²)

F = -47000 N

Which of the following statements are true?
aleksley [76]

Good conductors of electricity have larger conductivity values than insulators.

A material that obeys Ohm's law reasonably well is called an ohmic conductor or a linear conductor.

The resistance of a conductor is proportional to the conductivity of the material of which the conductor is composed.

Answer: Options 1, 2 and 4.

Explanation:

In physics and electrical engineering, a conductor is an article or kind of material that permits the progression of charge in at least one headings. Materials made of metal are basic electrical conduits.

Metals such as copper typify conductors, while most non-metallic solids are said to be good insulators, having extremely high resistance to the flow of charge through them. Most atoms hold on to their electrons tightly and are insulators.

If our planet was twice as far away how would the Earth’s orbit change?
Tomtit [17]

Answer:

One of the indirect proofs that orbits change is actually in the growth of our own teeth when we were children. our teeth are some of the most basic, and primitive

parts of our bodies. They grow on a 9 day cycle, which was an ancient full moon to full moon cycle when the Earth and the Moon were a lot smaller, and closer together, and the co-orbital period was only 9 days, not the 29.5 days that it is currently.

So Given any two " Planets " that co-orbit a common gravitational center, the larger planet will grow larger far faster than the smaller planet, and the larger planet will accelerate the smaller planet to a higher orbit with a longer period, and decelerate itself to a lower orbit with a longer period, and the absolute value of the center to center distance will increase, and the orbital period will increase. The two orbs and their common gravitational center will remain co-linear through out the gradual growing and changing process.

This is an important process for the enlargement of the solar system as time passes, and an important process for larger galaxies as they attract and merge with smaller galaxies.

All of the planets grow larger at an accelerating rate, and thus systems spiral outward concentrating mass into larger and fewer galaxies, solar systems, and planet - moon systems.
