The input voltage is 120 V and the transformer is a step up transformer due to increase in the voltage induced in the secondary coil.

Input voltage

The input voltage of the transformer is the voltage of the primary coil and it is calculated as follows;

Ns/Np = Es/Ep

where;

 • Ns is the number of turn in the secondary coil
 • Np is the number of turn in the primary coil
 • Es is the secondary voltage
 • Ep is the primary voltage

2X/X = 240/Ep

2 = 240/Ep

Ep = 240/2

Ep = 120 V

Thus, the transformer is a step up transformer due to increase in the voltage induced in the secondary coil.

What can we say about Gamma waves on
the electromagnetic spectrum?
sladkih [1.3K]

Answer: Gamma-rays have the smallest wavelengths and the most energy of any other wave in the electromagnetic spectrum. These waves are generated by radioactive atoms and in nuclear explosions. Gamma-rays can kill living cells, a fact which medicine uses to its advantage, using gamma-rays to kill cancerous cells.

Rufina [12.5K]

Answer:

The force on the charge at the origin is 0 N .

Explanation:

All charges are positive. So, in x axis force exerted by the charge located in the position (10 cm, 0 cm) will be canceled with the force exerted by the charge located in the position (-10 cm, 0 cm). In the same way, in y axis the force exerted by the charge located in the position (0 cm, 10 cm) will be canceled with the force exerted by the charge located in the position (0 cm, -10 cm).

AlladinOne [14]

Answer: The electric field is given in three regions well defined; 0<r<2; 2<r<4; 4<r<5 and r>5

Explanation: In order to solve this problem we have to use the gaussian law in the mentioned regions.

Region 1; 0<r<2

∫E.ds=Qinside the gaussian surface/ε0

inside of the solid conducting sphere the elevctric field is zero because the charge is located at the surface on this sphere.

Region 2; 2<r<4;

E.4*π*r^2=8,84/ε0

E=8,84/(4*π*ε0*r^2)

Region 3; 4<r<5

E=0 because is inside the conductor.

Finally

Region 4; r>5

E.4*π*r^2=(8,84-2.02)/ε0

A football is kicked from a tee at 12 m/s at 72° above the horizontal. What is the flight time of the football? __s
Ierofanga [76]
2.3 seconds

Ignoring air resistance, the flight time is merely a function of gravity and vertical velocity. The vertical velocity will be the initial velocity multiplied by the sine of the angle above the horizon. So:

V = sin(72)*12 m/s

V = 0.951056516 * 12 m/s

V = 11.4126782 m/s

Gravitational acceleration is 9.8 m/s, so divide the vertical velocity by gravitational acceleration to get how long it takes for the ball to reach its apex.

11.4126782 m/s / 9.8 m/s^2 = 1.164559 s

And the old saying "What goes up, must come down" really applies here. And conveniently, it's also symmetric, in that the time it takes to fall will match the time it takes to reach its apex. So multiply the time by 2.

1.164559 s * 2 = 2.329117999 s

Rounding the result to 2 significant figures gives 2.3 seconds.
