Match the following.
Andru [333]

Answer: Please see below for answers

Explanation: Matching appropriate labels , we have

1)3/4 of the way to second equivalence point of a diprotic acid/strong base titration-- pH=pka₂

equivalence point of a weak base/strong acid titration=pH<7

equivalence point of a strong acid/strong base titration= pH=7

equivalence point of a weak acid/strong base titration=pH>7

half-way to equivalence point of a weak acid/strong base titration pH =pka

where

pH gives the measure of the amount of concentration of hydrogen ions in an aqueous solution.

pKa  is known as acid dissociation constant which explains the equilibrum at which a chemical species can give out or receive proton

pka₂ is the acid dissociation constant for the second ionization energy.

Helium-neon laser light (λ = 6. 33 × 10^−7 m) is sent through a 0. 63 mm-wide single slit. what is the width of the central maxi
maw [93]

Helium-neon laser light (λ = 6. 33 × 10⁻⁷ m) is sent through a 0.63 mm wide single slit. The width of the central maximum on a screen 1 m from the slit is 1 mm.

Central maximum on a screen of YDSE shows the point of maximum brightness where constructive interference takes place.

It is dependent on the wavelength of light, distance between the slit and screen and distance between the two slits.

It is given by:

Width of Central Maximum = λD/d

where, λ is the wavelength of light used

D is the distance between the slit and screen

d is the distance between the two slits

Given, λ = 6.33 × 10⁻⁷m

d = 0.63mm = 0.63 × 10⁻³ m

D = 1m

On substituting the value is the above-mentioned formula:

Width of Central Maximum = λD/d

Width of Central Maximum = 6.33 × 10⁻⁷ × 1 / 0.63 × 10⁻³

Width of Central Maximum = 10⁻³ m

Width of Central Maximum = 1 mm

Hence, the Width of Central Maximum is 1 mm.
