The time it takes the plane to change its velocity is 9s.

<h3>What is time?</h3>

Time can be defined the measured or measurable period during which an action, process, or condition exists or continues.

To calculate the time it takes the airplane to change its velocity, we use the formula below.

Formula:

  • t = (v-u)/a.......... Equation 1

Where:

  • a = Acceleration
  • v = Final velocity
  • u = Initial velocity
  • t = time

From the question,

  • v = 40 m/s
  • u = 22 m/s
  • a = 2 m/s²

Substitute these values into equation  1

  • t = (40-22)/2
  • t = 18/2
  • t = 9s

Hence, the time it takes the plane to change its velocity is 9s.

In the flow past a compression corner, the upstream Mach number and pressure are 3.5 and 1 atm, respectively. Downstream of the
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

\theta=23.7^{\circ}

Explanation:

The ratio of pressure 2 to 1 us 5.48/1= 5.48 rounded off as 5.5.

Referring to table A.2 of modern compressible flow then M_{\beta_1}=2.2

Also

M_{\beta_1}=M_1 sin \beta and making sin\beta the subject of the formula then

sin\beta=\frac {2.2}{3.5}\\\beta=38.94^{\circ}

Making reference to \theta-\beta-M diagram then

\theta=23.7^{\circ}

What best describes a reference fram?
finlep [7]

Answer:

A reference frame is that frame to which the qualities of an object are related:

For instance - an object may described by - mass, speed, acceleration, size,  etc,

It is important to remember that Newton's Laws of motion do not hold in accelerated reference frames -

Einstein's laws of special relativity are only true in frames that move with contant speed to one another

A long, straight wire carrying a current of 2.60 A is placed along the axis of a cylinder of radius 0.500 m and a length of 4.25
shutvik [7]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

0

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

Since the current carrying wire is placed along the axis of the cylinder, according to the right hand rule, the magnetic field will be tangent to the surface of the cylinder. Therefore, there is no magnetic field through the cylinder.

Remember that the magnetic flux through a given area is the total magnetic field passing through that area. Since there is not magnetic field through the cylinder, the total magnetic flux is therefore zero (0).

An object weighing 150 N and is suspended from the ceiling by a wire. What is the tension in the cord?
soldi70 [24.7K]

Answer:

<h2>150N</h2>

Explanation:

According to newton's third law of motion, Action and reaction are equal and opposite, hence for an object that weighs 150N suspended by a wire, the tension on the wire is 150N

Ultimately the tension on a string or an object is equal to the mass times   gravity(which is same as the weight of the object)
