The amount of a radioactive element over time can be written as:

N=N_0e^{-\lambda t}

So, considering that we know the time of its half life, we know how long it takes to get to half the original amount. This is (usint the amount of days in microseconds):

0.5=1*e^{-\lambda *0.21*24*3600*10^6}\Rightarrow0.5=e^{-1.8144*10^{10}*\lambda}ln(0.5)=-1.8144*10^{10}*\lambda\Rightarrow\lambda=\frac{ln(0.5)}{-1.8144*10^{10}}=3.82*10^{-11}

Thus, lambda=3.82*10^(-11)/microseconds

You measure the pressure of the four tires of your car each to be 35.0 pounds per square inch (psi). You then roll your car forw
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer:

Weight of car = 36034.88 lb.ft/s²

Explanation:

We are told the pressure of the four tires of your car is; P = 35.0 psi

Also, the surface area of contact is; A = 32 in²

Thus;

Weight of tires = Pressure × Area

W_tires = 35 × 32

Weight_tires = 1120lb.

To get the weight of the car, we will multiply the tire weight by acceleration due to gravity.

It's value in ft/s² is g = 32.174 ft/s²

Thus;

Weight of car = 1120 × 32.174

Weight of car = 36034.88 lb.ft/s²

Two objects made of the same material are heated to 60 oC and 90 oC. According to
nlexa [21]
Assuming that there is in a vacuum, the two object will cool at the same rate, because the objects are made of the same material they will have the same cooling rate, assuming the surrounding temperature is the same.
