Answer:

Inertia is the reason that people in cars need to wear seat belts. Instead, the riders continue moving forward with most of their original speed because of their inertia. If the driver is wearing a seat belt, the seat belt rather than the windshield applies the unbalanced force that stops the driver's forward motion.

Answer:

Explanation:

The driver was able to stay in the car because he or she had a seat belt on, the passenger did not have a seat belt on, therefore they were not able to stay in the car. Newton’s first law states “An object in motion stays in motion unless acted on by another force”. Therefore the passenger was yoinked out of the car.

Considered the statement "You can move parts of your body because of energy from the sun. "Described a series of energy conversi
Masja [62]

Answer:

Explanation:

The source of all forms of energy found on the earth except nuclear energy is the sun . So energy used by us to do daily activities also comes from the sun .

The plants trap the solar energy in the form of light to make food material for us like sugar , carbohydrates etc . This energy is stored here in the chemical bonds formed  in them.

We take this food in the form of carbohydrate, fat etc. We digest it to mix this food carbohydrate in blood . It is further broken down on being absorbed by the cell in our body . They break them to produce a compound like ATP ( adenocine triphosphate ) which is energy rich compound . It is converted into ADP and difference of energy is released . This energy is used by us in moving body parts.

A 5.00 kg crate is suspended from the end of a short vertical rope of negligible mass. An upward force F(t) is applied to the en
Goshia [24]

Answer:

122.2

Explanation:

From the question, the equation of the force acting on the crate is,

F-mg = ma

F = ma+mg ........................ Equation 1

Where F = upward force, m = mass of the crate, a = acceleration of the crate, g = acceleration due to gravity of the crate.

Given: m = 5.0 kg, g = 9.8 m/s²

And a,

a = d²y/dt²

Where,

y(t) = 2.8t+0.61t³

d²y/dt² = 3.66t................... equation 2

when  t = 4.0 s.

substitute into equation 2

d²y/dt² = a = 3.66(4)

a = 14.64 m/s²

substitute into equation 1,

F = 5(14.64)+5(9.8)

F = 73.2+49

F = 122.2 N.

A pump lifts 260 kg of water per hour a height of 3.5 m . What is the minimum necessary power output rating of the water pump in
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

2.5 Watts.

Explanation:

From the question given above, the following data were obtained:

Mass (m) = 260 Kg

Time (t) = 1 h

Height (g) = 3.5 m

Power (P) =.?

Next, we shall determine the energy. This can be obtained as follow:

Mass (m) = 260 Kg

Height (g) = 3.5 m

Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 10 m/s²

Energy (E) =?

E = mgh

E = 260 × 10 × 3.5

E = 9100 J

Finally, we shall determine the power. This can be obtained as follow:

Time (t) = 1 h = 3600 s

Energy (E) = 9100 J

Power (P) =.?

P = E/t

P = 9100 / 3600

P = 2.5 Watts

Thus, the power is 2.5 Watts.
