Hello there! An example of Interia of Rest would be fruit falling off of a tree when it is shaken.
Hope this helps!

Fruits fall down due to inertia of rest when the branches of a tree are shaken. Fruits and branches are both at rest, but when branches of trees are shaken, branches starts moving where as fruits remain its state of rest and so separated from the branches and fall down.

What minimum volume of 0.200 m potassium iodide solution is required to completely precipitate all of the lead in 155.0 ml of a
Blababa [14]
First, we write the balanced equation for this reaction:

2KI + Pb(NO₃)₂ → 2KNO₃ + PbI₂

From this equation, we see that there are 2 moles of potassium iodide required for each mole of lead (II) nitrate. Moreover, we may use the formula:

Moles = volume (in L) * molarity

We find the molar relation ship for KI : Pb(NO₃)₂ to be 2 : 1. So:

M₁V₁ = 2M₂V₂

V₁ = 2M₂V₂/M₁
V₁ = 2 * 0.112 * 0.155 / 0.2
V₁ = 0.1736 L

The volume required is 173.6 mL

A 20.0 mL solution of NaOH is neutralized with 24.1 mL of 0.200 M HBr. What is the concentration of the original NaOH solution
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

0.241 M

Explanation:

We'll begin by writing the balanced equation for the reaction. This is given below:

HBr + NaOH —> NaBr + H₂O

From the balanced equation above,

The mole ratio of acid, HBr (nₐ) = 1

The mole ratio of base, NaOH (n₆) = 1

Finally, we shall determine the concentration of the NaOH solution. This can be obtained as follow:

Volume of base, NaOH (V₆) = 20 mL

Volume of acid, HBr (Vₐ) = 24.1 mL

Concentration of acid, HBr (Cₐ) = 0.2 M

Concentration of base, NaOH (C₆) =?

CₐVₐ / C₆V₆ = nₐ/n₆

0.2 × 24.1 / C₆ × 20 = 1/1

4.82 / C₆ × 20 = 1

Cross multiply

C₆ × 20 = 4.82

Divide both side by 20

C₆ = 4.82 / 20

C₆ = 0.241 M

Therefore, the concentration of the NaOH solution is 0.241 M
