How will the increase in biosphere production of carbon alter the carbon levels in:

Physics
1 answer:

Answer: yes they will increase.

Explanation:

Atmosphere: The amount of carbon in the atmosphere will increase with the increase in biosphere production of carbon.

Surface ocean: The amount of carbon in the surface ocean will increase with the increase in biosphere production of carbon.

Deep ocean: The amount of carbon in the deep ocean will increase with the increase in biosphere production of carbon.

Fossil fuels: The amount of carbon in the fossil fuels will decrease with the increase in biosphere production of carbon.

Number and variety of terrestrial plants and animals?The amount of carbon in the number and variety of terrestrial plants and animals will increase with the increase in biosphere production of carbon.

How will the increased carbon levels as noted in your Data Table affect current taxonomy? Will the number and variety of species change? How will they change?

Yes they will change.

As plants produces CO2 which is converted into sugars through photosynthesis, CO2 is essential for plant growth. It would seem intuitive, then, that increased CO2 levels would benefit both the plants and the animals that utilize them. But how do animals respond to plants grown under increased CO2 levels? In general, increased CO2 levels decrease leaf nitrogen levels, a vital nutrient for herbivorous animals Similarly, plants frequently increase the production of secondary compounds (antifeedants, toxins) under elevated CO2 atmospheres As a result, herbivores may increase feeding rates on enriched plants to compensate for decreased nitrogen availability, but still exhibit decreased growth rates and higher mortality x

A parallel plate capacitor fully charged to voltage V is connected to the battery (the voltage on the plates remains fixed). If
Papessa [141]

Charge will decreases.

A parallel plate capacitor when it is fully charged to voltage V is given as:

                    C = Q/V

The capacitance of parallel plate capacitor with two plates of Area A separated by distance d and no dielectric material between plates is

                    C = ε₀ A /d

since from above equation it shows C is proportional to Q and also C is inversely proportional to distance d.

So, ATQ when d increases C will decrease which in result decreases charge on the capacitor.

Thus,  Charge will decrease.

An object weighs 60.0 kg on the surface of the earth. How much does it weigh 4R from the surface? (5R from the center)
Alecsey [184]
"60 kg" is not a weight.  It's a mass, and it's always the same
no matter where the object goes.

The weight of the object is

                                 (mass) x (gravity in the place where the object is) .

On the surface of the Earth,

                   Weight = (60 kg) x (9.8 m/s²)

                                =      588 Newtons.

Now, the force of gravity varies as the inverse of the square of the distance from the center of the Earth.
On the surface, the distance from the center of the Earth is 1R.
So if you move out to  5R  from the center, the gravity out there is

                    (1R/5R)²  =  (1/5)²  =  1/25  =  0.04 of its value on the surface.

The object's weight would also be 0.04 of its weight on the surface.

                 (0.04) x (588 Newtons)  =  23.52 Newtons.

Again, the object's mass is still 60 kg out there.

If you have a textbook, or handout material, or a lesson DVD,
or a teacher, or an on-line unit, that says the object "weighs"
60 kilograms, then you should be raising a holy stink.
You are being planted with sloppy, inaccurate, misleading
information, and it's going to be YOUR problem to UN-learn it later.
They owe you better material.
