Answer:

7.54 x10^{-7} C

Explanation:

The complete question is:

Students in an introductory physics lab are performing an experiment with a parallel-plate capacitor made of two circular aluminum plates, each 19 cm in diameter, separated by 1.0 cm.How much charge can be added to each of the plates before a spark jumps between the two plates? For such flat electrodes, assume that value of 3×106N/C of the field causes a spark.

SOLUTION:

As you know that, parallel plate capacitance can be defined as

C=εo A/d

Where,

εo is the permittivity of free space constant, A is area of the capacitor plates, and d is the distance between them

Also, C= Q/V

where,

'Q' defines charge stored on the capacitor and 'V' express the potential difference between the plates.

Equating the equations.

εo A/d =  Q/V

Q= (εo A V)/d

for a uniform electric field (such as the one between the plates of a parallel-plate capacitor)

V= Ed ->where 'E' defines magnitude of the electric field.

Therefore,

Q= (εo A E d)/d  =>εo A E ->eq(1)

The area of the plates is given by

A= πr² => π(d/2)² =>π(0.19/2)

A=0.0284m²

Given: E= 3 x 10^{6} N/C

Substituting all the required values in eq(1)

(1)=> Q= (8.85x10^{-12}) (-.0284)(3 x 10^{6} )

Q= 7.54 x10^{-7} C

Therefore,7.54 x10^{-7} C can be added to each of the plates before a spark jumps between the two plates

olga_2 [115]

Given :

Initial velocity , u = 0 m/s .

Acceleration due to gravity on moon , g_m=1.67\ m/s^2 .

Height , h = 2 m .

To Find :

Final position after falling for 1.5 seconds .

Solution :

We know , by equation of motion :

s=ut+\dfrac{at^2}{2}

Here , a = g_m .

So , equation will transform by :

s=ut+\dfrac{g_mt^2}{2}\\\\s=0+\dfrac{1.67\times 1.5^2}{2}\ m\\\\s=1.88\ m

Therefore , the height form moon's surface is 1.88 m .

Hence , this is the required solution .

If the force of a golf club on a golf ball is 200 N forward, what will the force of the ball on the club be?
Afina-wow [57]

Newton's Third Law is every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

B. 200 N Backwards is the correct answer

The ball should put 200 N of force towards the golfer.

The ball is exerting 200 N of force towards the club as well, but the opposite reaction is that it flies away.

For more details: For each reaction there must be a opposite reaction(Which is the ball going 200 N backwards) and an equal reaction(The ball putting 200 N of force towards the golfer and the golfer)
