You have an atom with 3 protons ,4 neutrons ,and 3 electrons .adding a neutron will ...

Chemistry
1 answer:
morpeh [17]3 years ago
6 0

Explanation:

Adding a neutron will not affect the charge. The atom remains neutrally charged.

Since the charge of a neutron is neutral, or 0, the charge is not affected. Protons have a positive charge, whereas electrons have a negative charge. Since there are an equal number of protons and electrons, they cancel out.

Adding a neutron also increases the mass by 1. The mass of a neutron is 1 amu. The atomic mass is calculated by protons + neutrons.

Originally, the mass is 7 (because 3+4). The mass would now be 8 (because 3+5).

likoan [24]

Answer:

89.6L

Explanation:

1mole of any gas occupies 22.4L. This simply means that,

1mole of CO2 occupies 22.4L at stp.

Therefore, 4moles of CO2 will occupy = 4 x 22.4 = 89.6L

Which correctly describes the reaction between potassium and excess water?
nika2105 [10]
Balanced chemical reaction: 2K(s) + 2H₂O(l) → 2KOH(aq) + H₂(g).

KOH is inorganic compound potassium hydroxide, a strong base.
H₂ is hydrogen gas.
In balanced chemical reaction number of atoms on both side of chemical reaction must be same. There are two potassium atoms, four hydrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms on both side of reaction.

Brainiest if correctly answered in 5m
erastovalidia [21]

I will list them from alkaline with the lowest boiling point and alkaline with the highest.

1. C2H6
2. C9H20
3. C11H24
4. C16H34
5. C20H42
6. C32H66
7. C150H302

I have taken a quiz similar to this before and can assure you this is correct and is primarily because of the number of Carbons and Hydrogens within this. More Carbons and Hydrogens causes Boiling Points to increase because of stronger bonds.
