as the trait is dominant and controlled by a single gene,the mutation must have occurred on both diploid copies. true or false?
GenaCL600 [577]

Answer:

False

Explanation:

A dominant trait is a trait that is inherited from parents. It is a trait that is obtained from a particular copy or type of a gene that overshadows or overwhelms the effects of another type or copy of that gene. Dominant traits are controlled by a single gene.

Therefore , as the trait is dominant and controlled by a single gene,the mutation must have occurred on both diploid copies is a false statement.

If hydrogen and helium are the most abundant elements in the unoverse , then why are living organisms composed primarily of carb
Mumz [18]

Answer:

Most of materia isnt life.

Explanation:

The living organisms (life) aren't the most abundant thing in universe.

Hydrogen and helium are present in everywhere, but life isn't.

There is no reason to think because we have a lot of a thing, the life must be made for this thing.

The organic life just can exists because some mysterious properties about carbon, that is the basic foundation of life, carbon is a special element, why? We don't know, actually, it's a huge problem for science discover why the carbon can makes life be possible and other elements can't. But we know is this element that makes life possible.

So, note there isn't relation about the quantity of a material in Universe and the life constituition. In addition, look around, organic materials are very rare in Universe, Earth is one in lots of places and in most of this places there isn't sign of life.

Even in Earth the life looks abundant, in Universe it isn't, the same way in Universe the Hydrogen and Helium are abudant, in Earth isn't soo.

Arrange the examples in order, starting with the object that has the least amount of energy. In each case, assume there’s no fri
Artemon [7]
First example: book, m= 0.75 kg, h=1.5 m, g= 9.8 m/s², it has only potential energy Ep,

Ep=m*g*h=0.75*9.8*1.5=11.025 J

Second example: brick, m=2.5 kg, v=10 m/s, h=4 m, it has potential energy Ep and kinetic energy Ek,

E=Ep+Ek=m*g*h + (1/2)*m*v²=98 J + 125 J= 223 J

Third example: ball, m=0.25 kg, v= 10 m/s, it has only kinetic energy Ek

Ek=(1/2)*m*v²=12.5 J.

Fourth example: stone, m=0.7 kg, h=7 m, it has only potential energy Ep,

Ep=m*g*h=0.7*9.8*7=48.02 J

The order of examples starting with the lowest energy:

1. book, 2. ball, 3. stone, 4. brick

A series LR circuit contains an emf source of 19 V having no internal resistance, a resistor, a 22 H inductor having no apprecia
masha68 [24]

Answer: R = 394.36ohm

Explanation: In a LR circuit, voltage for a resistor in function of time is given by:

V(t) = \epsilon. e^{-t.\frac{L}{R} }

ε is emf

L is indutance of inductor

R is resistance of resistor

After 4s, emf = 0.8*19, so:

0.8*19 = 19. e^{-4.\frac{22}{R} }

0.8 = e^{-\frac{88}{R} }

ln(0.8) = ln(e^{-\frac{88}{R} })

ln(0.8) = -\frac{88}{R}

R = -\frac{88}{ln(0.8)}

R = 394.36

In this LR circuit, the resistance of the resistor is 394.36ohms.
