Answer:

Lemon juice has the highest H^+ concentration.

Explanation:

The pH of the solution id the negative logarithm of hydrogen ion concentration in an aqueous solution.

pH=-\log[H^+]

1) Lemon juice with pH = 2.3

2.3=-\log[H^+]

[H^+]=0.005011 M

2)Wine with pH = 3.2

3.2=-\log[H^+]

[H^+]=0.006309 M

3)Tomato juice with pH = 4.7

4.7=-\log[H^+]

[H^+]=1.99\times 10^{-5} M

4)House hold ammonia  with pH = 10.8

10.8=-\log[H^+]

[H^+]=1.584\times^{-11} M

Lemon juice has the highest h+ concentration. The more acidic something is the more H+ it has.

ph = 1 is the most acidic
ph = 14 is the most basic (opposite of acidic... think of soap.)

An aqueous CsCl solution is 8.00 wt% CsCl and has a density of 1.0643 g/mL at 20°C. What is the boiling point of this solution?
umka2103 [35]

<u>Answer:</u> The boiling point of solution is 100.53

<u>Explanation:</u>

We are given:

8.00 wt % of CsCl

This means that 8.00 grams of CsCl is present in 100 grams of solution

Mass of solvent = (100 - 8) g = 92 grams

The equation used to calculate elevation in boiling point follows:

\Delta T_b=\text{Boiling point of solution}-\text{Boiling point of pure solution}

To calculate the elevation in boiling point, we use the equation:

\Delta T_b=iK_bm

Or,

\text{Boiling point of solution}-\text{Boiling point of pure solution}=i\times K_b\times \frac{m_{solute}\times 1000}{M_{solute}\times W_{solvent}\text{ (in grams)}}

where,

Boiling point of pure solution = 100°C

i = Vant hoff factor = 2 (For CsCl)

K_b = molal boiling point elevation constant = 0.51°C/m

m_{solute} = Given mass of solute (CsCl) = 8.00 g

M_{solute} = Molar mass of solute (CsCl) = 168.4  g/mol

W_{solvent} = Mass of solvent (water) = 92 g

Putting values in above equation, we get:

\text{Boiling point of solution}-100=2\times 0.51^oC/m\times \frac{8.00\times 1000}{168.4g/mol\times 92}\\\\\text{Boiling point of solution}=100.53^oC

Hence, the boiling point of solution is 100.53

Answer:

Ionic bonding occurs when atoms either gain or lose one or more valence electrons, resulting in the atom having either a negative or positive charge.

Through ionic bonding, an atom of each element will combine with the other to form a molecule, which is more stable since it now has a zero charge.

mina [271]

Answer:

a) 320: two significant figures.

b) 2,366: four significant figures.

c) 73.0: three significant figures.

d. 532.5: four significant figures.

Explanation:

Hello there!

In this case, according to the given information, it turns out possible for us to write each number by knowing we move the decimal places to the right as much as the exponent is, and also, we count every figure, even zeros, because they are to the right of the first nonzero digit:

a) 320: two significant figures because the rightmost zero is not preceded o followed by a decimal place.

b) 2,366: four significant figures.

c) 73.0: three significant figures, because the zero is followed by the decimal place.

d. 532.5: four significant figures.
